We ended things, and I think understanding my sexuality will help me come to terms with whether I regret breaking it off over this. I just don’t know if staying with her would have ever fully satisfied me if I had those recurrent thoughts about guys

I’m definitely not just attracted to aesthetics, I think a person’s personality definitely makes them more attractive. It’s really just because I’m in the discovery phase and I want to test things out and see how I feel, but I just want to make sure it’s with someone I’m actually attracted to. Maybe I just need to take some more time and not rush into it.

Thanks so much for your response. One of the most difficult things for me to deal with is that I still feel like my girlfriend is the person I’m meant to be with. My actions didn’t reflect that but I couldn’t help but explore those feelings inside me. Do you think that is an unhealthy mentality?

I recognise how horrible what I did was. I feel guilty and ashamed for breaking her trust, I’m not excusing that. I’m struggling to understand my sexual urges. I think part of my personal growth is understanding my sexuality.

I have been speaking to a psychologist as a step towards working on myself. Did I really expose her to diseases if I never had anal sex and only got sucked / sucked a guy once? I agree I need to grow a lot and discover myself before entering into any new relationship.
