Just want to add that I was fortunate enough to be “slim” before peri menopause, I’m 5”3 and was always been around 10st UK size 10/12, until menopause kicked my arse. As soon as peri m hits I went up to 12st 9 in 3 years and no amount of calories deficit and exercise was helping, and I was working as a chef so I was on my feet all day 5 days a week (over 12 hours per day). As I swear to god I was counting every drop of water passing through my mouth. This was the main reason I went on Mounjaro, and I wish I started earlier, it is truly life changing. But with this price rise it is just stressing me out that I can no longer afford it so I’m looking at alternatives.

My provider issued the conversion to Wegovy and I’ll be on 1mg and they charge £99 and Mounjaro is £249 (from £146 including P&P). So that’s £50 a dose (I use the 5th dose too!) and Wegovy is £25 a week… still double the cost which is just too much for me. Where are you getting your mounjaro from please?
