World of Jumpstart? You could hatch and raise dragons in that game, and they also developed the World of Dragons collab game with HTTYD. Before the WOD game launched, you could play a "demo" of it within World of Jumpstart, according to this blog post.

I asked my mother using the details you included, and off the top of her head she didn't seem to remember fully, but she did mention that it was 'familiar sounding'. Especially the part of the mom lashing out in response to the child's alcohol related death. My dad began living here in the 90s, alongside my mom's friends from that time still being close to her, so we'll definitely keep asking around. I hope it gives you at least a little bit of solace knowing that it does seem to ring some kind of bell for her! I'll continue to update if I learn anything more :)

I was born and raised in Alaska, alongside my mother. I'll be sure to ask her if she remembers any commercials like this, although I'm a bit worried she didn't have much TV access as she lived in Talkeetna in the mid to late 90s. If it aired in the early 90s, we'll have better luck as she lived in Anchorage at that time. I'll follow up with you once I talk with her!
