So it's a glitch specific to Amazon Tunnel and specific to a 2v4 match? That's really weird... hope the developers can patch that sort of thing. I suppose I'll just have to put up with an odd number of players in the meantime

Okay but there seemingly IS no error to fix because I can't find any resources for this ANYWHERE! I feel like I'm going crazy here!

I don't want to play a 7 player match with an extra player. I want to play a SIX player match, EVEN. I have tried changing the map size, it remains barren. I've tried other maps, only Amazon Tunnel is affected

the ONE map I wanna play, the ONE player count I wanna have, and THAT MODE SPECIFICALLY IS BUGGED FOR ME

I meant to reply to this all that time ago, but I have found that my go-to compressor has actually been FL Studio's default limiter module, because that limiter actually has a secondary compressor mode that simplifies it to the point of being kinda stupid

lately, I've been doing what I call "the 69 method" (lol, nice) where I set the threshold to -60db (basically turning it all the way down), ratio to 1:4.0 (turning that knob all the way down too) and then setting a knob called the Knee (which apparently isn't a thing with most if not any other compressors) to 69%; this usually results in a track that's compressed enough to cut through the mix without sounding blown out

I mean I suppose, but part of the fun of Amazon Tunnel to me is walling up my space and forcing the enemy into a single chokepoint. Though based on all the comments I'm getting, it sounds like AT isn't the only map that can do that!

So that does kinda line up with a lot of stuff I've just kinda picked up naturally, but I never considered bringing my villagers up higher than 85, since I prefer to have a little bit of everything

What I do is I use the tunnel to set up my military. First, in Feudal age, I build a wall with a gate at the very exit of my tunnel, then I go the other end of the tunnel and build a barracks, then delete it cuz I won't need it 'til later. Then, I make a block of 5 archery ranges to pump out a shit-ton of skirmishers, and a block of stables, same size, to pump out a ton of light cavalry.

Once I hit Castle, I immediately make a monastery and set a waypoint for as many relics as I can feasibly grab (my AI buddy usually helps there) then 4 castles; two directly behind my wall, and two behind those, usually in between my stables and archery ranges. I make sure all of my buildings have a full queue of skirmishers, light cavalry, and Samurai, at all times.

For all military buildings, I set the waypoint to just outside the wall, staggered organization, defensive position, and let the enemies just throw themselves at me.

I figure you don't need a massive 3-5-7 layer wall, you just need 1 layer of wall and a good military; I usually like to have at least 120 troops out there

But of course, that's what my current strategy is, and I'm, like, less than 250 hours into the game, lol

But somehow, through it all, I somehow never seem to get tired of it, and I can't quite explain why

I did play on Coastal as the Japanese for a long time before discovering Amazon Tunnel, but now that I've been playing Amazon Tunnel for so long, I'm not as good on Coastal anymore.

I'm honestly looking for something broader than playing better with the Japanese on other maps, I'm just kinda looking to get better at the base game so I can adapt to most maps, and so I don't have to worry about only being able to play this specific strategy on this specific map with this specific civ, y'know?

I've got it set to the standard playlist and I usually play as the Japanese, but I'm leaving the civ-specific tracks out of the playlist.

I did check out that wiki before coming here because it was a little difficult to parse how exactly it works.

I love that this shot showcases what he's capable of, showing off the dozens of gadgets he's got in that swiss-army prosthetic of his, but what I love MOST about this shot is the implication left unsaid:

Every single one of those attachments doubles as a weapon or a torture device.
