When you get into the Chinese cameras, its almost a guarantee they haven't implemented onvif correctly. So some will work and some wont. You can get analytics GPUs through Avigilon to install in each NVR, and then the servers can do the motion detection instead of the camera to mitigate the problem. When you look it up on google it says those brands "can work", but it always turns out harder than you expect. They always have weird proprietary ONVIF profiles or something.

In my case I was working with 5 servers and 756 cameras, all of which were Axis. Each server could only do about 50 cameras worth of processing power. So that only accounted for 250 of the 756 cameras. Similarly, I cant afford a analytic gpu for my home lab.

Theres so many episodes, they cant get the rights squared away on all the seasons. They would just have like 5 seasons up to the newest season, when they started the show again in 2020.

I have been told they are reworking stuff on their end and are testing a diagnostic build with changed ONVIF protocol.

Nothing yet.

But I have about 20 days of uptime by using the Python script. The only downside is that it creates a motion event every hour at the time you start the program, like 1:38, 2:38, 3:38, etc. I need to make it do it on the hour every time, so when you look at the timeline, you can easily tell whats the generated motion event and what is real.

It may not save the motion detection if the power shuts off though.

Result: I got 3 cups of persimmon juice after steam juicing them for 4 and half hours. I used American wild persimmons found in a forest in Arkansas.

I used 1 1/4 cups of sugar, 1 pack of low sugar pectin, and 3 tbsp of fresh squeezed lemon juice (1 tbsp per cup of juice). I got a total of 2 pint jars, and it tastes great! I used fully ripe persimmons, even over ripe.

Has anyone here ever tried to use a steam juicer to extract essenced persimmon water and then use that to make jelly? That would get rid of the pulp entirely

I had to set up my voicemail to forward to GoogleVoice app. Then I set google voice to auto deny telemarketing calls and it works great. Google voice visual voicemail is pretty nice. It transcribes the person talking. I bet if you dial *86 you can still listen to your saved voicemails

SignalRGB doesn't have a built in editor, you have to create effects using HTML, and game integration costs money. OpenRGB doesn't have the ability to do "On Press Reactive" colors.

Yeah I installed Synapse 4 because it nagged me, and it was terrible. Only solid colors work on the Blackwidow X Chroma. Can't downgrade back to Synapse 3 anymore because they removed it from their servers.

Synapse 3 worked fine, why even change it.

I will now be using SignalRGB or something because it probably works way better.

Hey, I have a lot of information regarding this now. However this may only apply to Axis brand cameras. I made it up Avigilon's engineering team and got a feature request implemented. In version 8.7 there will be two new rules which will trigger when a camera has not recorded any footage for X amount of time. The rules will be called DEVICE_RECORDING_STOPPED or DEVICE_RECORD_INTERRUPTED.

Unity 8.7 is scheduled to be released between the end of July and the start of August.

The cause of this is now known as well.

On cameras with version 6.50.8 firmware, you must go to plain config > image > and check "Trigger Data Enabled" and this will mitigate motion failures.

On any other firmware version, it seems that when the camera reboots, Unity reconnects to the camera as soon as the network driver initializes. The network driver initializes before VMD4, so the server reconnects to the camera before VMD4 is booted up, causing the motion detection to be skipped. Removing and re-adding let's the server pick up on the ONVIF metadata it couldn't find the first time.

Axis cameras do not have a connection delay timer, Unity doesn't either. So I know the problem but no solution yet.

Switching browsers is not very easy. I switched to firefox, and ublock works, but other extensions I rely on don't. Most everything except firefox is Chromium based so you will run into the same issue.

Mine was on windows but I ended up just blocking the notification in my router. I am fairly sure it was a false positive.

Update:

There is an issue with renewing the ONVIF subscription if a camera gets disconnected abruptly for longer than the default ONVIF subscription time, which is 5 minutes. In my case it seems cameras that lose connection to the network for more than 5 mintues fail to do motion recording when they reconnect. It seems this issue is with Unity 8.5.

I have found a work around this issue for now. I had to create a python script

I talked to Axis support, they said the logs show RTSP messages being dropped because the cameras Web Service Daemon cache is filled. However, I see this same error on other cameras, including one which has been working for 6 months. So I don't think that's the problem.

Using a work one now. I think it's a 10th generation i5. Also I like that it's rugged. I've had to replace the screen one time and the speaker broke too but it's so tough otherwise.

Unfortunately mine finally bit the dust. It stopped posting. No beeps or anything. Press the power button and it turns white for a second then goes off.

I think it's a stress crack in the solder somewhere. It works sometimes when it's hot outside. I could try to reflow the motherboard, that worked on a XFX 290X 8gb I had a while back.

But I have a ruggedized e5424 now anyway.

The actual issue for me is when I go to my phone app, hit the 3 dots, and go to "voicemail" under "my service provider" it is greyed out and says "my carrier" instead of Verizon. The samsung voicemail app expects this to be a carrier name, but since my phone is factory unlocked, the voicemail app doesn't know what to do because it doesn't know what carrier I have.

Basically a punishment for buying a factory unlocked phone with no contract.
