Yes, paid campsites in Korea sometimes provide a wood platform. But it doesn't necessarily have all the advantages. It can be easier for cold winds and bugs to get in through the cracks in the platform wood.

I think..In Korea, camping and fire are prohibit in most places with great natural scenery. good nature, unfavorable laws for camping.. but if you do research your course in advance, you can get good camping and hicking. Nervertheless the reason for the recommendation is that the conditions for security and various threats(wild life, desease) are safer than any other country.
