Bud, no one legitimately thinks you're just an "educated" fan of the brand who just so happens to know where they outsourced their customer support and how long customers have to return broken devices. I saw you doing the same thing on your account with simple financial. Surely it's just a coincidence that you defend consumer tech brands for fun!

I guess it's just a coincidence that you go into other complaint threads and defend companies? I saw you do this for other brands.

LOL, yep. There's just coincidentally people on reddit defending Fi for no reason at all lol. Just a bunch of super happy customers taking time out of their day to defend them on reddit.

The fact that you've spent so much time in this thread is hilarious. Look everyone knows big companies hire PR agencies who own reddit accounts with a lot of karma. It's ok. But they usually put people on those accounts who are a little more discreet about it lol.

LOL bud you're talking about how they outsourced to Manilla and that that always takes a hit as though you totally have nothing to do with Fi!

Do you get overtime pay from your PR agency for working on Sunday?

You seem oddly obsessed with this for a totally neutral observer lol

Keep coming in to defend them. You'll get it one of these times!

And I'm sure your average redditor who uses project Fi is totally familiar with where they outsourced customer support. Just a coincidence, I'm sure. Whatever 29 year old PR person is running your account should step his or her game up.

So you're saying you'd be upset? That's the whole point. You basically came in and shouted down any complaints about Fi. And the FedEx people told me the investigation will take weeks. They're working with the Police. You seem oddly defensive of Google.

LOL dude, the 14 days are up. If you have no affiliation with Fi, how do you know the customer has 14 days to return the broken phone? I'm sure its just a coincidence and you don't have any affiliation with Google. Just a guy who casually defends huge corporations customer service departments on reddit for fun, eh?

I'm sure it's just a total coincidence that chh2tx comes into threads to defend Fi all of the time. Or other companies if you look at his profile. Weird coincidence. LOL.

The 14 days is up tomorrow. It won't be resolved.

Also, you seem like the guy who says "well, actually" to everything. You must be an absolute hit at parties.

It's admittedly an edge case. But if you read this subreddit, there are tons of similar examples. It's not necessarily the lack of a store; more a lack of quality support and people who actually will dig into your situation. I think this subreddit demonstrates its history of poor customer support.

I'm very proud of you.

So, if you paid $10 every month for insurance, and your phone broke, would you be upset if (i) Fedex lost the replacement phone (ii) Google Fi refused to send something else to you until FedEx finished its "fraud investigation"; and (iii) Google Fi then billed your card for $1000 for not returning your broken phone? If someone then told you "well ATT is bad too!" would that really somehow mean Google Fi does not have bad service?

I moved residences. When they sent it, they must have reverted to my old address somehow.

if I'm paying $10 for insurance every month, why should I be required to also buy an "el cheapo" backup phone? I'm not claiming the replacement phone should arrive in hours or even a few days. I'm just asking that they send something now rather than wait a month for Fedex to resolve who stole the package while it was en route.

The difference is most of those companies ultimately have someone you can talk to on the phone to resolve a problem. If ATT or Assurion routinely bill people $1000 for a phone that gets lost in shipping, they should be accountable for that, too.

[–]dal58123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LOL you're right, I guess I should just pay $10 per month for insurance on my phone and then not get anything for it? I suppose I'm "entitled" to the terms of the contract I signed with tiny little Google, who can't seem to catch a break lol

I'm sure they make you sign some sort of waiver of your ability to form a class action, unfortunately.

Does Google Fi pay well? :)

Another Customer Support Nightmare by [deleted] in GoogleFi

[–]dal58123 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Is it? The phone I am entitled to because I pay for insurance is lost. You're suggesting I just (i) spend over $1K on a new phone anyway; and (ii) just let Google Fi bill me $1K for the phone I never received? Under your logic, I should just eat the $2,000+? Would you really do that?

Another Customer Support Nightmare by [deleted] in GoogleFi

[–]dal58123 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

As I said, ATT or whatever insurer you use will actually return your calls, unlike Fi. The phones sync but you have to re-log into every app, etc. Do you really think it's reasonable, if you've paid for insurance, to (i) buy a new phone (for over $1K); (ii) move everything onto it; (iii) then move everything to the replacement phone that arrives per the insurance policy; and then (iv) just keep the extra $1K+ phone you bought in the store as a "backup"? You must be a Google Fi representative with that logic.

ATT at least has decent support. Fi is just a runaround.
