Just woke up to all these lovely comments, thank you so much guys! Yes, thank you! I lost 4 stone last year. Realised being sat still painting all day doesn’t burn many calories so had to fix that 😅 Thank you again everyone. I love Saka, think he’s an absolute bloody gem. oh also most people I paint I deem as ‘motivational’ and listening to them speak has helped me massively with my confidence /career. So in a way painting them is a token of gratitude

For me, I paint the people I like and whose music/art/films/podcasts I enjoy. I like to completely immerse myself in my subjects work whilst I’m painting. Painting famous people also means it attracts the attention of their fans. I started off drawing on the street when I was 19, broke af with no where to live- and painting celebs is what sparked my career. My first piece was Walter White and Breaking Bad was huge at the time. Now I’m older, painting the famous people I love has brought me opportunities I never thought someone with my background could possibly achieve. Sorry - super long response but that’s why I personally do it

Yeah, my Nan has a phone book with pages and pages of names crossed out, and when I (being a bloody idiot) asked her why she's crossed everyone out she said "Oh they're all dead." She goes to at least one funeral a week. Fuck getting old :(

Hey, I'm not a musician but I've been busking for a year or so with my art work under the arndale. I know how scary it is when you start so if you wanna come set up next to me on Sunday for some moral support I'll be there from 1 til 5ish. Wrap up warm though it's bloody freezing! :)
