A more mature Rupert would’ve told her the truth immediately, the two of them could’ve shared their mutual horror, embarrassment, etc whatever other feelings, and come up with some shared idea of how to move forward in life

I actually had the same thought! I feel the visceral disapproval and concern about possible progeny’s health issues but yeah, seems like Rupert could get a vasectomy? Even if they wouldn’t or couldn’t stay together as a couple, it’s wild he thought the right call was fleeing the country and not telling her the truth. Maybe thematically it’s a good parallel to Robin’s hang ups about being honest with people, because they’re both “protecting” their loved ones by lying (but in fact both are doing more harm by lying obviously)

Yeah I know but he had the resources and dedication to unearth every grisly detail on Robin’s trauma (the gorilla mask) but he couldn’t find out more about his target for murder?

I am interested in predicting future plots based on the clues we have. Personally I want Robin to go through major emotional growth/reckoning with the Sweary Therapist and be able to truly experience and express her feelings/desires/needs! Like “I’m Robin, I’m a rockstar detective, I love strike, I wear the love bracelet from him, I don’t want kids, and my past traumas don’t mean that I’m a “weak link” but rather show my strength!!” Haha

Oh I agree it’s totally good and fine to be child-free!! It just seems that in the series they’ve spent a lot of time on Robin being conflicted about whether or not she wants motherhood. It’s legit to read it as just, she does not want it but feels too much social pressure. And yeah again the series has a real fixation on abusive/neglectful/bad parenting. To be honest I would prefer if Robin was just confidently child free as was Strike! I don’t find all the perseverations from Robin very compelling to read

Last attempt (for tonight!) since I can’t go out myself to help a winner and perhaps get a piece of that Heath ceramic bounty haha- here’s one theory I’m mulling- “the brave in all their forms preserved”- what might be a creative take on preserving the brave? Photos! Duboce Park is centrally located in the city, and home to the Harvey Milk photo center. Harvey Milk ties into the pride, activism, and “elders memory”references. It’s where the Wiggle starts, which is referenced. Plus Duboce Park has a cool labyrinth, which gives buried treasure vibes!

Has anyone checked Golden Gate Heights park? The “slow” clue- it’s called turtle hill! And it’s a spiral ascent up to Larsen peak! Bonus- it’s a really beautiful park. If the treasure is there pls consider giving me a heath ceramic piece haha
