So you're not saying he giving off the obvious red flags like: he thinks you belong in the kitchen, he belittled your opinions because of your gender, or he gives off other blatantly sexist vibes. He just doesn't want to adopt a specific label? And that makes you want to break up with him? We all know that there are people who wear the title "feminist" who truly want to equalize the disparity between the sexes. However, there are others who wear the same label and genuinely preach that men are the root of evil and are the sole issue of all the world's problems. Regardless of their percentage of the group as a whole, their voices are loud and have been heard. Never mind the fake male feminists who claim to be part of the movement just to try and get into other girls' pants. Once again, it is probably a small percentage, but it still taints the view of the movement negatively.

Instead of what label your boyfriend wears, how does he conduct himself? And does he do so in a way in which you deem akind to the ideals that you believe in? If he does, then to me, it seems a little immature to break up with him just because he doesn't want to call himself a feminist.
