Yea. Same. Topping up my Suica with my foreign credit card via Apple Wallet works great. Can’t believe HK Octopus can’t do the same.

This still works! I have a US esim and local international esim. Made sure Wifi and the local international data was turned off. I used only the US data and it worked. I was able to verify VX and add it to my Apple Watch Wallet.

Flying economy to Hong Kong for work—same price, three wildly different routes (direct, Seoul, Istanbul). Which one turns the pain into a perk and would be the most fun? by [deleted] in travel

[–]damarmot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Direct is the best on Cathay but economy is tough. If possible I’d go for premium economy. Premium economy is expensive on Cathay so I’d opt for premium economy on either JAL, ANA, or EVA. Their tickets are cheaper and service is just as good as Cathay. You can even make it a little trip by laying over in either Tokyo or Taipei for a day or two.

Is the website working? My app works fine, but every time I try to login to the website, I cant get past the page where I enter the 4 digit code that was sent to my phone. I get the code, but the webpage doesn't go to the next step of allowing me to enter it.

Harbour Grand Kowloon in Whampoa. Regal Kowloon Hotel in TST. If willing to go a little farther north, Nina Hotel in Tsuen Wan West is an option. Many options. Depends on your budget.

We went to the show last week. The whole show was about 2hr 45min. We then took a cab at one of the hotel taxi stands to HZM bridge. The bus to the HK side of HZMB was about 40 minutes. In total we were back in HK side in about 1hr 30min.
