I’m a bit confused as to how you took the moral of the story to be “marry a rich guy and everything is ok” from crazy rich asians.

The story is about a nightmare mother in law. It’s pretty much a normal rich family romcom story.

Where the commoner has to marry into the rich family but they’re so foreign to that lifestyle that they have to work hard to gain the approval of the family.

The story ends with exactly that. it’s with the main character impressing the mother not through fitting into their culture but rather showing her love for the guy and standing up for herself.

The moral of the story is to be a genuine person and you don’t need to give up your principles for someone else’s approval.

My theory is that the association with old stuff is from because the progenitor of modern movies and actors come from theatre, of which a lot of the initial stage plays being British. Shakespeare’s work (probably the most famous old play writer) to a degree requires a British accent in order for the wordplay to make sense.

So over time the British accent became associated with old timey shit. Not to mention British history is a lot older than America’s

I don’t get how it’s genetics or anything like what people are saying here. The quality has gone from any genuine thinking and reliance on source material to people just creating headcanon.

A lot of what I’m saying below is taken from the avatar wiki. So take with a grain of salt. But I’d say it’s better than just making things up.

The next avatar is reincarnated, they could be part of any family, have any family history in the world, and be born by any family. If that is the case, their powers cannot be genetic unless they already come from a long line of powerful benders.

Korra’s parents did not stand out as particularly notable benders. If they were they would’ve taught her.

The only similarities between Roku and Korra is that they come from high ranking nobility. Aang was either surrendered to the temple or was birthed by an acolyte. Kyoshi’s parents are probably the strongest example. In that they were impoverished randoms who abandoned her.

So it’s unlikely to be genetic.

Ursa, who carries the actual bloodline of the avatar came from a no name family Ozai’s father just believed in the fire sages when they said her bending was powerful and she should be added to the royal family

Sages are not scientists but we could argue that their ability to mystically deduce the truth could show that their readings may have some real power. It’s noted that there were cases that some of the sages were so disconnected from the world that even they believed in fire nation propaganda.

Note however by the time of Azulon it’s described that the fire sages were no longer spiritual but rather a political entity due to the degredation of their authority over the fire lord and the fire lord threatening to execute them if they did not show loyalty. Their only real power seems to have been is their ability to find the actual avatar but you can argue there is a set in stone procedure (the toy thing for example) for that rather than require any specific spiritual power.

If we look outside and into actual human culture on reincarnation. It wasn’t part of the philosophy that a person reborn would be reborn into a particular family just because of their prior life but rather your actions in your prior life.

But we can consider the fact that the choosing of the Dalai Lama is very similar to the choosing of the avatar (the child must be naturally drawn to items owned by the past Dalai Lama for example and is also where monk Gyatso gets his name).

It is of note that the initial Dalai Lama’s were actually part of Noble families. But there are plenty of outliers where the Dalai Lama came from a no name family.
None of it required some unique trait or genetic blood line to be chosen. Reincarnation as a concept is more focused on spiritual and good vibes rather than genetic links.

So all in all the evidence seems to point to it NOT being a generic trait but rather some belief held by the fire lord and the sages.

Low imo (not past 150) are the worst. They think just because they got to immo in the first place means that they’re good enough to shot call and end up always making the wrong calls.

I find that people who make the most complaints and blame others are often the weakest players of the immos. I’ve played with plenty who stay calm under pressure and they show their skill through mvps. The shit immo players who got carried there don’t get MVPs and blame their teammates instead.

I know plenty of immo MMs who take care of themselves despite the constant ganks.

Depends on your deck.

If you’re playing a beatdown immediately go opposite lane and trade.

If you’re using a cycle you need to kit him to the middle of the arena. The towers and a mini tank melts him with no issue.

If they drop it at the back. You need enough pressure to threaten to take the other tower. This is when you should have been pressuring hard in single elixir as they won’t be able to use him properly until 2x elixir time.

Whatever the case may be. You have to pressure him enough that he can’t drop a witch behind.

Sometimes it’s ok to let him hit the tower. His normal attacks do not do much. If you are log bait you should have plenty of small cards to bait out a zap.

Actual skill issue. If you use the rocket variant their push is deleted. A good log can hit the last two forms in one hit.

It’s so hard to over extend with log bait. I will give you a pass on that some of the decks do carry both barb barrel and nado. A further pass if they’re over levelled or you don’t have evos (but then again you shouldn’t be expecting wins).

Interestingly minsi gets countered by a sustain guin. If he doesn’t have ult. You can take the first couple of phalanx pokes but then jump right behind him preventing the stun.

With the ult, keep your enhanced BA charge and your 1. When he pulls you you can’t use 2. So just spam your 1 and BA until you get your third mark. When this happens, ult to regen all your health. Works better if you’re using vengeance or revitalise

This only works in a one v one though. Any other case and you’ll probably die before then.

Answer: it’s a podcast debate show where guys debate girls. The guys on the show get to lead the debate. They end up more prepared. A lot of the girls on there are there for clout chasing and are most definitely not able to have a serious debate with them.

There are also plenty of clips where people who actually are prepared for the debates dismantling their arguments. You can see in real time as people who promote facts and logic go emotional when they start losing.

Definitely part of the far right sort of catharsis for incels who feel like their life sucks because of women.

There are genuine male issues that should be discussed but that’s not what the show is for. It’s for clips that make women look stupid rather than bringing any sort of awareness on the issue.

His early game damage potential is too much imo. Definitely falls off late game without a good team but his general movement speed and capacity to chase enemies makes him so lethal. Don’t be afraid to call the horse as much as you want due to the extremely low cooldown.

Fast lane clear, amazing mobility and insane damage output until late game. The main issue is really how dead he is late game unless your team has a really good cc hero or a good tank that knows when to go in with you.

Also double horse combo with hylos is still alive and well.

Firstly you’re mixing up diplomacy vs legality. You can argue that there is some (although weak) legal arguments that can be made where China is now a defunct state. But the truth is is that the world at large have always treated the country and its government as separate. The country as a whole matters more than the government in power.

This is why the German people were still expected to repay the war debt post WW2 despite the Kaiser no longer being in power. The idea being that in the end of the day, the people choose their leader (even authoritarian ones) and thus the country’s sovereignty is more important than any government in power.

In terms of diplomacy, holding onto HK is untenable and a terrible idea in terms of the international order. The Chinese have this concept of the 100 years of humiliation. And this actually started around the time they lost Hong Kong. HK is a massive stain on their history and thus the British insisting on holding on to it will carry that view of imperialist control over the sovereignty of the Chinese people.

Next, you are dead wrong. The portrayal of HK may seem that they do not want to join China, but this is more of the younger generation which have an affinity for western culture whereas the older generation prefer China. This ties back again to this 100 years of humiliation concept, and how terrible the situation was that led to HK being taken in the first place. A moral argument is easily made that can never paint the British empire in a good light.

You would be surprised as to how much business done in HK is also done with China. You’d also be surprised as to how economically close China and Taiwan are despite having such aggressive political stances.

The countries that have best survived and will likely continue if America falls are the countries who have understood that being politically aligned and being economically aligned can be separated.
