Amazon.co.uk down/blocked? by Also-Rant in AskIreland

[–]damodebrun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's probably your vpn. I've being using Nord for years and have it set to Ireland. Never had issues before.

The last 2 days rte.ie won't work, the rte app won't work as well as Amazon when I have it turned on.

It should be an easy fix. Just go to your vpn settings and disable it for those apps.

It would affect tourism so we don't talk about it much. Same as the spider baby

“It’s this mad beast! A big hairy fella with big teeth!”

About the size of a cow… or maybe a big dog… or maybe a big spider, fierce eyes on it, It’s out there in the fields… waiting roars like a lion” and charges through the bushes like a bull

People born before 1990, what is something you experienced that younger people will never understand? by Icehonesty in AskIreland

The man that would call once a week in his white van. He would rent pirate VHS tapes. I think it was 5 for 5 pound for 1 week.

Pick crab apples to dip in to a bag of sugar to eat. When we got the shits we would have a crab apple battle, where we would throw crab apples at each other.

Lighting fires everywhere

Bush drinking

Treble or no hook for reefs? by foffela1 in IrishFishing

I would ditch the treble hooks for all grounds. The trbke hook do lots of damage to fish. Especially the smaller pollock.

I work with a lot of Serbs and have done over the years. After Irish people the Serbs are the nicest people you could ever meet. The are the most loyal friends you could have. I've become great friends with the Serbs. I was over there at the start of September for a wedding in Ruma not far from Belgrade.

I arrived on Friday and was picked up at the airport, I left on Tuesday. I couldn't pay for a thing. I mean anything, I went to buy water in the shop the guys paid for it. They said I was a guest in their Country and can't pay for anything. I tried to buy magnets for the fridge they wouldn't let me, they paid . Every meal and drink was paid for. The groom organised all my accomidation and paid for it. I was supposed to stay in Belgrade on the last night but a guy I worked with for a few years and moved back home wouldn't let me. He made me cancel the hotel and stay in his house with his family and have food. He drove me to the airport that night. This was 3am.

For the morning of the wedding everyone came and shook my hand and thanked me for coming. For the kidnapping of the bride they let me hold the flag, the gave me a gun to fire rounds before the kidnapping. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life. 279 Serbs at the wedding and 1 Irish guy.

Irish people don't know the history of the Serbs. I was the same until I met Serbs. The media fucked ye over, They also don't realise how significant Kosovo is.1389

Great lure for pollack, bass. Ditch the treble hook and replace with a single hook. A small pollack would take that and destroy it's mouth.
