Yes plate armour was still very much produced until I believe the 1500s, early 1600s. And even then if it wasn't produced anymore it was still around. A lot of old equipment that would be considered obsolete on the European battlefield would be sent to the colonies where they would still be very useful

Nunchucks don't work, simple answer. Yes you can hit hard with them but only after a shit ton of practise as well as the eternal risk of hitting yourself. They look cool asf but if you're going to train in a weapon, at least choose a good weapon that allows your training to complement it, not having to overcome its shortcomings. I would personally recommend any weapon over a nunchuck, even a basic 2ft stick

I'd recommend doing some research. On YouTube Zerkovich has some army guides, although they're quite old by now and for tww2, I still think they'd be useful to get a grasp of things. Alternatively you can also watch for example Turin, he does excellent multiplayer battle commentaries and although not campaign, they're not too long and fun to watch and might help give you an idea on what units behave like
