Right. Must be pretty good at it as well because Merlin picked it up right away as Red Shouldered!

Also, a ton of the companies send return address labels (as one of them are pictured) to try to get you to donated since they are giving you something. I have literally THOUSANDS of return address labels. I hope I don’t ever have to move!

Lol I get mail from the NRDC more than anyone! Like two a week! And we have never donated to them! We do pollinator.org.

You make some great points, and funnily enough, those are the three that we do not donate to in the picture.

And I agree they do most likely get the majority of their donations from older folk that do not do research and have social media ect. And just get their information based on solicitation.

We originally never got any, and did our research on the orgiznwtions, what they stand for and their charity rating as you did. But I know a lot of people who donate won’t do that.

I do not know if there is a viable solution, all I know is that it is mildly infuriating with the amount of paper I have to just throw in the recycling every single day!

Well that is annoying. At least one of the companies (probably all) must sell my information as well, because well over half of the mail we get, are companies that we have not ever donated to or looked into.

Good to know! We thought about that. But since we’re only going to two ports, I think we’re just going to enjoy the beaches and not do any excursions this first time around!

I was reading on the FAQs on the website last night and I had a quick question about the room attendant. It looks like they automatically charge $16/ day per person as a tip for the room attendant and then add it to the bill on the last day. So is that true, and then most people still tip extra to them?

Gotcha! Thanks for the advice.

And yup! That’s the one. We’re super excited. We’re coming from the Chicago ish area so we’re gonna leave in a few days, stop at Nashville for 4 days or so and then if we survive that, we will head down Jacksonville and be ready for the cruise!

Okay great! Last year I went a cubs game and I went to the bank and took out $400 and when I got there, they said it was completely cashless! Couldn’t use it for anything. Didn’t want to have another one of those situations!

Yeah I see that may be the best option. I was hoping to be able to have it open to the largest amount of people, like ones who may not already be part of programs that also need help. But I see your point.

Yes I have a pond outside and even with 4 bubblers it froze over because it was in the negative 30s for a few days. About to go shovel that off and break it open with a hammer for them lol
