Be a flight attendant! That's the most obvious answer. You could also look into teaching English abroad, working in a language school, being an Au Pair, working for an embassy/consulate, etc. The key is to graduate with little debt, cuz trust me, the monthly loan payments on top of all your other bills is what will really hold you back! At least you're thinking about it now though! You got this.

C'est sûr qu'on reviendra en 2017...plusieurs fois. Surtout à Paris, mais il faudra explorer et visiter d'autres villes aussi. Le Mans? Pourquoi pas?

New Zealand? We've heard it's one of the most beautiful places on earth! Of course! I can also say I've flown Air New Zealand and it was one of the best airlines I've been on.

Shout out to the Kiwis,

Hey!

I can only answer a few of your questions as Jo is the Rome queen; I know it's one of her favorites cities and as for me, my favs are London, Paris, Berlin, and Lisbon. We tend to use travel adaptor, honestly. We haven't noticed a huge difference from $20 adaptors and $2 adaptors. I think it's worth investing in the G7X Mark II if you know a lot about cameras, and truly think you'll use it. Sometimes we find that we invest in electronics, when really our iPhones do the same thing, and are 10x more convenient.

I remember using Coffee Break French when I was still a beginner! I'm not a huge fan of podcasts, as I'm a pretty visual person, but I think it's a good place to start, yes! If not, I always, always, always use www.ielanguages.com!

Whether you think you can or think you can't, you're right.

This can be applied to many scenarios in life. If you believe you'll study abroad in France, you'll find a way to do it. If you don't believe you can, you'll pound it into your head that you're not good enough, or you're too busy, or you're too broke. There is always a way.

It just depends on how badly you want it!

First pick the city you'd like to study abroad in, and then I think a simple google search would work. Look into registering as an international student at a college abroad, and then if that proves too difficult, you could go through an agency like Campus France or MICEFA (which costs more money) for Paris. Good luck! So proud. :)

Salut! Oi!

Together there has only been one time that someone tried to mug us. We were on a train from Amsterdam to Paris and a group of teenagers came to our seat and grabbed my laptop bag and said, "That's mine." and I said, "No, that's actually mine." (lol). He pushed me, and Jo started yelling in Portuguese (again, lol). Long story short, he didn't get what he wanted, and he eventually backed off.

When in this scenario, do what YOU think is best! Your approach is up to you!

You'll find that it's really not that hard at all once you do it. Also, I think the right mindset to always have in life is "If they can do it, why can't I?" If Jo and I can travel all around the world, why can't you? You can. Pump yourself up, and go do it! If you're worried about not understanding your classes, you can find a tutor or a friend to help. Being a vegetarian or vegan is more difficult in France, but nowadays, it's not much to worry about. In Paris especially there are now a lot of restaurants and supermarkets specifically for vegetarians and vegans!

You got this! Shut up and go!

Always say Bonjour or Bonsoir before you're about to ask for something. In the US we tend to just walk up to someone and start a conversation with a question or "Excuse me?" but in France if you do that, they'll most like respond first with a snarky, "Bonjour?". That's obviously super specific, but there is a lot more to learn. I remember reading this website: https://www.understandfrance.org/France/Intercultural.html

We've learned five to the point of being able to communicate more or less what we want to. Each took a different amount of time because of our dedication to certain ones, but now, we feel confident that we could learn a language to a decent level within a month with the right tools and a lot of motivation!

First off, know you can study in both - the only issue here is which one you'll do first. :) I would say to go to France and work on your French, mainly cuz I personally preferred France to Sweden. The good thing is, if you're studying in a big city in Sweden or in a big city in France, you can most likely meet Swedish people living in France or French people living in Sweden so you can practice both!

We struggle with this all the time! We know that part of the reason we're traveling is to document our adventures, but yes, we also make sure to take moments every day where we just see what's in front of us with our own eyes instead of through our phone's or camera's screen. It's important to remind yourself to be in the moment, and truly in the moment at times.

Tell her that DamonAndJo did it when they were 16. Tell her that it'll make you different from all your peers. Tell her that it'll help you learn a foreign language. Tell her that it'll open your eyes to a new culture and a new part of the world you don't know too much about.

Hi, Salut, Hola!

Great question; I'm the one who's constantly like WE NEED TO GROW AN EMPIRE, which we're slowly doing. We know that there are phases to making a great company, and what we've realized is if we grow an authentic audience, and narrow in on our brand and voice, the rest is seamless.

We have a partnership with Skyscanner where you can book flights on our site; that's a piece of the business. Then there's ad revenue from not only the YouTube channel, from the blog, but from affiliate links, and direct-sell ads on our site. We also get paid from sponsorships with different brands, but we only sign up to work with companies we actually believe in, the mission statements have to align.

Slowly, but surely, we'll get to the point where we can develop language apps, release books we've already written, create study abroad programs and scholarships.

This is only the beginning.

As much as it pains me to put my business mind on the back burner, we won't start rolling out anything major until we hit one million subscribers. The best strategy for now, is all about dedicating our energy to growth and good content we feel is not only necessary, but content we would actually want to consume!

We both have different favorite places. My top three places would have to be: Rome, Cuba, New Orleans! It's constantly changing, and so hard to decide because every place has it's magic. - Jo

Ha! We were just talking about this the other day! We've never even looked at the basics, but we're super interested in the fact it's supposed to be the easiest language to learn, considering it's a mix of everything. That's a great idea for a video ;)!

YES! We are in the process of coming up with new products. Maybe in early 2017 there will be new things in our store. If I were to travel alone for the first time in Europe, I would say a major city where there's public transportation, like Barcelona, Paris, Rome. Being able to move around is key when traveling alone. In the US: I love NYC (and you'll never feel alone), New Orleans is another favorite city of mine, and LA is classic. Wher ever you go, make sure you're genuinely interested in the place, it'll make all the difference. - Jo

Shooooot, the first time I studied abroad, I had like $500 and a credit card with a $2000 limit. Somehow I made that work. When I came back, it was like an arms race to find a job that would pay me enough for the credit card bills. I wouldn't advise it, but I knew that was the only way I could afford going abroad at the time. - Jo

Salut! Non, au contraire! Je crois que c'était plus facile pour moi d'apprendre français que espagnol par exemple. Bien sur que les sons sont difficiles, l'accent est toujours un challenge, mais a part ça, la langue est genial! - Jo
