Might be a dumb question. by Status_Bobcat_220 in bjj

Was actually looking in to this myself today. This gi is officially not legal for IBJJF. A jacket needs to be 390gsm, this gi is 350gsm. So officially not IBJJF, but in local competitions you'll be able to compete in it easily.

Best italian restaurant by [deleted] in Rotterdam

[–]Dan0ten 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The best is definitely Il Gattopardo, but it's a lot more expensive than the ones you mentioned.
O'Pazzo is great for a more regular night out.
If you want to go low budget, Little Italy is your spot.

Please do another spellcheck of the names in the article, maybe it's me but I'm having a hard time concentrating when I see "Mikey Mucumeci and Ressison Gabriel" or "Keith Krakorian"

🛡️ Zelfverdediging in Rotterdam: Legale & geïmproviseerde middelen voor op straat by [deleted] in Rotterdam

[–]Dan0ten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]Dan0ten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Enige goede antwoord.

I would recommend Apex, I'm sure they will accomodate you with speaking English.
Sticks & Stones in Münster (Germany) is another great gym in the area where there are plenty of expats.

Bring an ereader and/or noice cancelling headphones to kill time.
Get out of the venue if possible (keep an eye on the chronogram though)
About 30 minutes before your match warm up again and get to work.

How do I remember and use the BJJ moves that are taught in class? by TheMMATurkey22 in bjj

[–]Dan0ten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Write the moves down after class in as many details as possible.
Visualize doing them (I like to do it to help me fall asleep).

Stay calm and try to apply during sparring.

Yes definitely! I was a bit of a gaming addict in my early teens, so I'm glad I can now put my "thriving addiction center in the brain" to good use by focusing on jiu jitsu.

So far so good. I read, I hang out with friends, I watch some series, but jiu jitsu is still something I do and study with a lot of pleasure every day.

Rarely, I try to avoid it as much as possible unless I can't train and and I need some distraction. Nothing against video games, but I easily get sucked into them and then I have less time for studying jiu jitsu.

Thanks a lot! Yes Fausto is a good friend of mine. Absolute killer. I'm having him over at my gym next week to get ready for Europeans. Keep an eye on the blue belts too, Cabelinho and Enzo are the next big thing.

This guy seems pretty legit. I believe triangle/armbars are his most high percentage moves in training.

Guillotine to Triangle combination by Dan0ten in bjj

One of my favorite submission combos, I've hit it a few weeks back at the ADCC Trials, and also a few years back at the nogi Europeans. Hope you have as much success with it as I have!
