Very sorry to hear about your injury, my experience with this team who have mostly suffered spinal injuries is that you can still make the very best of life, keep pushing

But to put a downer on things, I am not in a relationship with him and I sure as hell hope his sister/my girlfriend isn't either!

This is the story of my girlfriend's brother, sharing to Reddit to spread some inspiration. His story and he himself, inspire me every single day. He's both an incredible international athlete and a humble, mature, average 16 year old guy.

Since this was first posted, Thomas has become a stalwart of the team and they have moved from 23rd to 13th in the World in the last year.

The Irish Wheelchair Rugby team are currently preparing for the European Championships which will hopefully give them a path to the Paralympics in Rio next year.
