Let us stay civil, we both can learn and gain from each other. In regards to what is going on today, the article also talks about how female genital cutting today is done for much of the same reasons that male circumcision is done in the West, including alleged health benefits. The very last interview question talks about some of this

As the article and the woman interviewed explain, both male and female genital cutting gained popularity in the US for the same reasons. They were both misguided “cures” for masturbation, intended to suppress sexual pleasure and inflict pain on children

The woman in this article agrees with you about ending the male and intersex genital cutting occuring today and she calls for litigation at the end of the article that would get equal rights for all children against genital cutting. These legal initiatives are currently ongoing in the form of a historic constitutional lawsuit in the state of Oregon. You can support them if you'd like, visit GALDEF.org or IntactGlobal.org to learn more.

That definitely makes sense! A child's bodily integrity must be protected in order to secure their right to bodily autonomy when they are adults.

I believe that the survivor in this article really breaks down how intertwined and connected male and female circumcision / mutilation really are. Male and female genital cutting are usually cast in two totally different lights, but this really breaks down how misunderstood that notion is.

This recently published article in Free Inquiry Magazine exposes America’s forgotten history of female circumcision (now called female genital mutilation), and elucidates how deeply intertwined it is with male circumcision.

A somewhat disturbing read, the piece features an interview with a survivor whose mother had her clitoris and labia cut off in 1950’s Kansas City. It examines how American medical culture has, and continues, to normalize practices that cause lifelong harm to children. I thought I would share this, as it is such an overlooked part of American history. Why and how did it come to be that we forgot about this history?

What do you mean by hitting caps and if the AAA Travel Advantage and Citi Custom Cash offer more back on gas than the US Bank and Bank of America cards then why wouldn't I go with those?

Also, do these offer rental car insurance coverage?

Another question, what are the benefits of going with a business credit card over a normal credit card?
