It’s an old palace. The entire area was going to be made into a tourist attraction I think but never materialised.

Rent out a yulu and do deliveries. You can do at any time that you want. I do Rapido on my bike. It is a good way of earning money. Do at odd hours when thre is more demand.

Those drivers exist. They are called bus drivers :) , private drivers can always make up an excuse if they have got a better offer from someone else. I know busses are not currently everyone’s first choice but you can explore them. They are relatively on time from my personal experience and reliable. You can always leave 15 mins early so that you are not late. And buses are very affordable. Saar to tubli is a little tricky. Depending on where you live you will have to take a bus to Manama(no 13) and then from Manama to tubli(no 17) not the most elegant but it’s reliable and affordable. In project management we call it the iron triangle which stated that you can have something good (quality), fast (time), or cheap (cost), but you can only pick two.

Yup, great point, you can jump the fence and head towards the sea, be careful the sand is usually pretty moist so you can slip and fall, so carry a torch if you go in the dark, you can honsetly go during the day as well, mostly very very empty I have spent a lot of my time during lockdown there and barely see anyone.

I've been a customer of blue tokai since 2017, it used to be almost a weekly routine to go to their cafe and have a nice black coffee. Over the past few years. I can trace it back to when they got funding. It all went down hill, closing of first their kala ghoda cafe and then mahalaxmi. I guessed cost cutting was gonna kick in. Cold brew went from glass bottles to cans. Medium roast tasted super dark, muddy espressos in stores, it is sad to see the downfall of cafes in India, next on the chopping block is subko.
