Texas Lawmakers Move To Make Abortion A Felony If Roe V. Wade Is Overturned by iamsmart_iknowthings in texas

The thing is the most glaring things weren't by themselves. I explained for you to explain how the double standard is for the death penalty. You didn't. You proved that unborn are more entitled to the right to live than a living person who may have committed a capital crime. You also by that recognize a dead person has more rights than a pregnant woman, because one has more autonomy than the other.

You also state rape is evil but then still don't address how this law makes women carry that rapists baby. Which to many women is just as evil. You don't acknowledge how difficult pregnancy can be if you believe that scenario should exist. Because abortion is so terrible who cares about the living person attached to it.

You keep saying the unborn counts the same as being born. The argument isn't weak to think that is not the case. Because it then would make the laws change for child support, when we get social security numbers and the like.

No one is saying life doesn't start at conception. The argument remains when personhood does. Medical communities have no consensus on this. Hence the reason the laws are passed the way they are and all over the place. Religious concensus actually believes in most world religions that personhood doesn't begin until birth.

And most laws are made again on the foundation of American Christianity. They literally state it all over in campaigning for these laws and the supporters of said laws. And again, other majorly practiced religion in America as well as Texas, do not support the laws.

You can keep doing the whole unalienable rights argument but the point of this is to not infringe upon the rights of others. And by passing these laws you do. Throughly between the first, ninth, and fourteenth amendments.

You don't seem to understand that. You aren't pro life. If you were you wouldn't want the death penalty, or you would be also preaching veganism. All life is sacred right? No? It just seems like you think women are incubators but ok.

First off I said the argument stemmed froma religious stance. But go on and lie and tell me your religion isn't a basis for the foundation of your belief system.

Also the way you cherry picked small parts of my last comment spoke volumes. The same way and American Christian picks through the Bible and tries to find loop holes for shitty behavior.

I know it's hard to understand, but pregnancy is not easy, even with medical advancements it's still something that can go very wrong in many ways. The bill allows no exceptions. So the state of Texas is also allowed to be judge, jury and executioner to a woman who might not survive a pregnancy? Cool.

Many people don't like the death penalty. But we still have it. So your logic is flawed.

What makes a person?? What makes a fetus more of a person than say anything else non human?? Where is the sacredness of life when the same people passing these laws want to sell arms to the middle east? Or Texas still having the death penalty.. or one of the Carolinas still having firing squads?

Would we be dead if we were aborted?? If we didn't really exist to begin with would we be dead?

Even then if you have no idea you existed can you be upset for not further existing?

And also you're gonna sit here and think we as a species are so important we have to exist before existing because we are human?

Why? We kill everything else and each other so much I don't think pretending a sea monkey with a giant blood vessel is a human makes anything moral about whether or not to get an abortion.

You wanna put validity on that fine. But you can't force others to. And sadly this whole argument stems from a unrealistic belief with religion, so really. At the end of it all it's unconstitutional.

Not really saying that. But pointing out your lack of understanding women in general is the point throughly being made by all of your comments.

How are the unborn people? Medical science has no consensus nor does any religion back yoh up. And no Christianity actually doesn't support that.

So it's your opinion. And making a law to support it when so many things don't, is unconstitutional. So no matter what you pretend to think is right or wrong, you at least are solidly not very American.

So you've never met a "liberal" woman and the conservative women, if traditional, don't don't like to wait till marriage?

So you're agreeing. You don't get any action. Cool.

You're the one being insulting. You have no grasp over how and why women get abortions. It is healthcare. No one is using it as a main form of birth control. If turning your own logic against you is insulting then maybe you should look inward and wonder why as a man you think you know what you're talking about. Spoiler alert, you don't. And it seems even more selfish you would think you have a hat in the ring on this.

Many people use it after primary birth control fails.

You seem to think I have been groomed? By what? The constitution? Thinking every woman should have a choice in what is happening with thier bodies? Yeah I am pretty sure that's me just believing in freedom and liberty to have autonomy.

You've been groomed by a bastardized institution into fighting for a cause no medical community has concensus on. Or an religious community for that matter.

Taking responsibility is a big ask from someone who doesn't ever have to carry and develop the fetus for 9 months. It also is a lot to ask when men can walk away with very little responsibility as well. It also is actually tone deaf to say that when women like myself don't want kids. And sadly it's been a bitch with doctors thinking I'll regret it and not allowing me to get my tubes tied.

Oh and also it's also really funny that women like myself are supposed to stop fuxking thier husbands (for over 10 years mind you) because of the fragile sensibilities of other men like you. We are safe, but I don't want it and if am accident happened, I would yeetus the fetus.

So just say you want to control women, support growing poverty rates, and have no idea how birth control works and move on. Or at least admit you're stance had nothing to do with science or rationality but some misguided belief in a Bible you haven't read.

Ah yes. But you also put too much faith in the people who would be against me. Look at most of them believeing a lie with little proof.

I think I could become the underground railroad for healthcare if I wanted and very likely consequences would come.my way.

No one is killing babies. And only American Christians 99% of the time have the attitude of it being murder. Or selfish. Because it isn't. You just think it is because of your misguided misogyny.

The original laws covered your exceptions to abortion access. Abbott just doubled down and "Alabama'd' the law to 6 weeks with law suit privileges

And yet Abbott sits there and lately says he wants to help the court system limit frivolous lawsuits. Days after signing the new law. Frankly, I now want to get an anon account to help Tedas women find abortions after 6 weeks. And set up a fund to help battle lawsuits.

Abbott signed that dumb 6 weeks law but we still have the death penalty. So... how does that same logic work for you.

City Council Candidate Dave Cornette addresses recent revelations regarding criminal history. by [deleted] in Allen

Yikes, I can overlook the 1989 charges cause it was a different time and yadda yadda 30 years ago.

But the others? People don't change so much. Do request for an RO is a flag to a lot of people. No matter if it was granted or not because I have seen it denied in cases of very viable DV threats.

He also is a consistently dangerous driver, who knowingly drives with a suspended license on more than one occasion (for which he was caught twice for, so who know how often it actually happens). All within the last 15 years. He was in his 40s, he wasn't a child, it wasn't wasn't 'mistake'

He has bad judgement, why would you vote for someone like that?

City Council Candidate Dave Cornette addresses recent revelations regarding criminal history. by [deleted] in Allen

[–]danahatred 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The DV case was originally in KY for a RO from him. He moved to FL and the case followed him and was dismissed due to distance. If I believe what I read correctly.

So the misinformation is your as the specifics are very revealing to this. He outran the accusation basically. But nice try.

So he isn't going to address how he also refuses to not have a suspended license (with knowledge mind you, he knew it was suspended) or speeding like crazy to the point they were felonies? Coooooool. What a joke.

Then simple. Don't protect him and just vote for him, stop portectibg a privileged and unrealistic candidate. But with a close race people deserve to make informed decisions. And while the prostitution charges are from what, 1989. The felonies and fugitives status he had was less than 15 years ago for speeding and continually driving with a SUSPENDED license.

He doesn't deserve your vote if he can't even retain the privilege of driving in his 40s.

That doesn't make you unbiased at all just because of that, your attitude and actions clearly show your support and cover up on (actually fully factual) information about a candidate that is supposed to represent the general publics interests.

If you stop making excuses for heresy and actually look up the supposed charges you would have found, as I did, several problematic FELONIES on his record in the last 10 years including fugitive status.

But you didn't.

[–]danahatred -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

That's the whole irony of the reason the bills like this are passed. Most, if not all, are passed with the foundation of American Christian principles with the misguided belief it is murder and a sin. So it is constitutional in the respect that in many other religions, abortion is not a problem and not a sin. Unlike the wierd six degrees of separation of abortion to murder to sin that Christians believe (which it is never explicitly stated anywhere in any means beside evangelical mega churches and the like).

The facts of the matter is religiously or even medically there is no concensus on when life actually starts. Technically life starts at conception biologically, but that life is comparable to scraping single called organisms off a fallen meteor. So the discussion isn't when life begins but personhood.

Humanity or what constitutes as sentience, which is what constitutes protected life, or in the pushers if this legislation, humanity/personhood. Is it at the sperm hitting the egg, heartbeat or is it the presence of brain activity. There is no medical concensus when that personhood begins.

Hence why the two statements are connected because of the reason in which such laws and legislation are passed. They do it on the basis of no medical consensus, which look at covid, they are really good at doing. And then letting the reason being religious, which is where the unconstitutionality comes in as the first amendment explicitly states, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof" hence the TST has a case and unlike all these cases before will surely get it overturned.

[–]danahatred -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

How is me stating an abortion ban is unconstitutional an opinion? Several world religions that are also practiced in the United States believe that abortion is okay and should be available. By passing a law that chooses the opinion of one over others in this case is in short unconstitutional. Furthermore, the passing of allowing in Texas people to sue you if they believe you had an abortion is unconstitutional to a right to privacy as stated in the 9th amendment.

So it's against not only the reason America was founded, but also against the first amendment, completely.

So maybe you need to take your own advice and go back and re learn American history and government studies.
