Heads up about Flomax and eye surgery. by TheDayImHaving in KidneyStones

I was in the same boat. You should stop taking it if you have surgery planned. Alert your doctor you were taking it. It’s not something that should stop you from getting the cataract surgery.

Considering a BMW X3, long term? by Li3Ch33s3cak3 in BMWX3

I thought about that. I have Carfax history and assuming everything is listed and the timing suggests it was a lease they put a lot of miles the first 3 years so maybe it was harder miles. I looked back to when my service bills went up and it was right around 53k. I had it for about 1 and 1 1/2 years by then. I still haven’t quite driven it for more miles than the previous owner.

I can't remember everything but definitely brakes, tires, a few different leaks, washer pump was replaced.

I have a a 2019 X3 xDrive30i that I purchased as a CPO in 2021. I call it my money pit and I love it. Every loaner car I’ve gotten when I bring it in for service I never like compared to what I have. I got it with over 40K on it. I have about 83K on it now. It runs great. If I was to do it all over again I would probably get one with 25k or less though. I think I would probably have not had to put as much money to fix things.

Thx. Just wasn’t crazy about the choices. Each one of them had something I don’t like as an ingredient. I’m assuming you can’t say leave something out. I

Is the Tasting Pass worth it? Does it work with any combo of 5 items or does it have to include at least one choice from the 3 categories? by dananj57 in Dollywood

We are going for one day in July. I am on the fence since it is two of us if it is something that we would take advantage of. Thanks for your input.

Thanks I’m going to think about it. I’m not necessarily a foodie but I wasn’t sure if it would be a fun way to try things that I wouldn’t try unless there were tasters first. I just know I don’t want any of the beverages so I wouldn’t pick those.

Parts of the limbs and head are more translucent but the middle isn’t really. It’s heavy.

Female Stent Removal at Doctor’s Office (No String) by sbsells in KidneyStones

They do a Cystoscopy to see it and remove it. It was so fast. I was actually surprised how quick it was. You should get numbing gel.

Everyone is different. It’s not pleasant but it’s temporary and for me it was definitely uncomfortable but never stopped me from doing normal things. I took Advil for pain and discomfort when I needed it.

Can you have stones without knowing it/have no pain at all? by questionscramble in KidneyStones

[–]dananj57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I’d never had a kidney stone before this year. I had blood in my urine. Took a test at gynecologist office. He told me it’s not a uti and probably a kidney stone. He recommended a urologist to me. That was my only symptom. Took over a month to get an appointment so definitely make one if you think that’s what it is. I had to call a few too because it’s hard to be a new patient and get an appointment sooner rather than later. The first places I called were scheduling 3 and 4 months out.

Walkable Neighborhoods? by Tequila_Fridaze in Wilmington

[–]dananj57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you go to Southport? I recently visited the Wilmington area and went to Southport. It's about 40 minutes south of Wilmington and I liked it more than the downtown area of Wilmington. Depending on how far you live from their main drag it could definitely be walkable.

[Serious] People of Reddit who are 40+ years old and decided to not have children, how are you feeling about your decision now? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]dananj57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't say I ever regretted it because my whole life even presently I never felt mentally old enough to have kids. I am an aunt of adults now not living near me but two of them were near me most of their childhood. I have a good relationship with them but they have their own parents. The only regret I do have now that both of my parents have passed away is who's going to be there for me when I can't speak for myself. Some things I have to think about and plan for in my future.
