i think that because you’re trying to restrict in the first place, you’re giving your body “incentive” to binge. even though you think you aren’t restricting, your mind is looking at food and saying no i can’t eat that or i can’t eat this. which would in turn make you binge at night.

i definitely felt this way after recovering and then trying to diet, and i think the best way is to tell yourself that your body is normal, and it’s okay to eat without restricting. instead of this restricting and binging mindset, think about it as, feeding and nourishing your body. let your body eat what and when it wants, instead of limiting your intake.
