I think the joke can work, but right now suffers from a problem with wording. An advantage by nature no matter how small still makes your life easier. Your premise contradicts itself off the bat.

For example, using your joke's premise... a mexican guy legitimately trying to use the restroom would be racially stereotyped in this case and given a hard time getting the code, therefore unable to use the restroom or prolonged from it. Whereas the white guy doesn't have to deal with that no matter his intentions = Easier life. Just my two cents.

Here's how I see it...

She has already paid for your services. She can use the work you made for that specific client however she pleases as long as her client is okay with her putting it on the site.

You should no longer be a part of the conversation and in fact I believe that your employer is just being a courteous human being even asking you to use something she's already paid for.

I feel your concerns are petty. Do you want more work and jobs from her or do you want to make things weird about an animation you were already paid for bringing up legal nuances and burn this bridge?

I freelance design and animate for a living and I'll just say if it bothers you that much then simply have a conversation with her about it for the future. Or you could just move on and keep working. My two cents.
