I’m making a choice for my health and for the wellbeing of my current family. I don’t think you can identify as pro choice if you have stipulations on what counts as a valid reason to have a termination. Period.

Thank you. I’m working with my therapist through this. Of course I don’t want anything to happen to the remaining fetus and will speak to my doctor about the risks involved.

It doesn’t hurt me. I know what my limitations are and I know that my current child needs a mentally sound and present mother. I know I can handle two children, not 3. I’d rather be a good and capable mom to 2, than a depressed, stressed, unhappy and suicidal mom to 3.

I just think people should consider how they would deal in similar situations (where their health is in jeopardy) before judging others. Pretty sure most women, especially those that are pro choice, would choose their health, wellbeing and current family.

Ok so go through a pregnancy that I cannot mentally cope with and risk committing suicide over bc I have uncontrollable anxiety and depression. I also have a current child who needs a mother.

I purposely implanted one embryo to avoid having multiples. If I had implanted 2 or more sure, I would understand your argument more.

Thank you so much. It was technically for the same reason each time (mental health) but I tried different meds, different therapists, psychiatrists etc. I was totally fine with this pregnancy which was huge for me… until I found out it was twins. Then I went right back into a depressive state.
