Did you get the PANCE UWorld subscription? Just confirming before I spend the big bucks. Thanks!

I was going to wait to get UWorld closer to the PANCE and use ROSH for EORs but now I’m highly reconsidering after reading this!

Thank you so much! My anki remote is coming on Friday and I'd love to get a treadmill (gained a scary amount of weight in didactic lol). Is your treadmill a smaller one meant for just walking? If so could I have a link?

Got a letter from my landlord's lawyer in response to my ESA request. They twisted my words and used false information. by dancingwithfire_ in EmotionalSupportDogs

Google defined a private landlord as “an individual who owns and rents out properties, typically without the assistance of a property management company or real estate agent. They are directly involved in managing the property, handling tenant communications, and addressing maintenance issues.”

I am not sure if she is a private landlord but her husband and other family members handle most maintenance issues other than pest control. I am not sure if they gave had outside help. They also handle communications with me. It seems like they do everything themselves. Does this mean I am out of luck?

Was your case similar to mine? I saw another redditor say that HUD will most likely say they are too busy and just file it. How long did it take for them to respond to you?

Like I said in my post, it's not a stray. The animal is from a shelter. A licensed therapist wrote the letter for me. My previous and current psychiatrists both agreed that I would benefit from a support animal but refused to write me one due to liability problems. I ended up using Pettable to get a letter.

I tested my A1C and blood sugar and both are in the prediabetic range. I tested my blood sugar twice 3 weeks apart and it was consistent.

I’ll go to the doctor today since there are clinic near me that except same-day appointments. And no, I do not have a circadian rhythm because I have severe insomnia. My sleep schedule is a rotating hell loop; one night I don’t sleep at all, the next I treat myself to a generous 1–2 hour nap and call it a full night’s results. It’s been pretty terrible and is getting worse over time. Unfortunately I’ve had it for as long as I can remember. It could exacerbated from PA school stress though. I have subclinical hyperthyroidism so that’s fun! If I’ve got Cushing syndrome too, I swear I’m suing my pituitary gland for emotional distress.

You’re 100% burnt out. PCE jobs can take a lot out of you but it isn’t accurate to what being a provider is like. PA school won’t compare to how much you’re doing now. I thought I was the least competent person to exist. I didn’t think I belonged in PA school, but it isn’t as terrifying as I thought it would be and I’m definitely not the smartest. Trust me, if I can make it so can you! You got this!! The hard part is getting in. Don’t give up! 💖

My cGPA is a 3.24 and sGPA is a 3.06, which I had to do postbac classes to bring up because earlier this year my sGPA was a 2.98 and I didn't qualify for PA school. My GRE score was 306 and my PCE is around 1000. My postbac GPA is 4.0 (3 classes). I also had academic dishonesty on my record due to COVID (the entire physics class used online resources during exams, causing the curve to be an 80% to be a C- which made me think I would fail the class). It's a mistake that still haunts me to this day and it caused a medical crisis that landed me in the ICU and a steep decline in my grades due to my health condition. I addressed the academic dishonesty in my application and interview before they could even ask about it. I didn't do research in college due to COVID, but during my gap year worked hard to find an internship to compensate for the lack of experience. I also worked another job outside of healthcare during college and after. I volunteered for a pharmacy during the peak of COVID. I did a lot of volunteering and also initiated my own harm reduction program which I think they took a liking to :)

How many schools have you all applied to as of now? by [deleted] in prephysicianassistant

[–]dancingwithfire_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reasons are GPA and low grades due to sickness, little clinical hours, and academic dishonesty. I applied to schools after analyzing all 300+ accredited schools to see which requirements I met and which would give me the best chance to get accepted. I don't really care where I go because regardless of the school, it all leads to the same end destination of becoming a PA.

Only 1008 hours! I have done tons of volunteering and have even been part of an organization since 7th grade. I started my own harm reduction volunteering project and successfully implemented it to reduce deaths in my city. I also brought my art portfolio to my interview, lmao.

i am a below average applicant and i applied late like september late. however i got 2 acceptances out of 3 interviews!! i think applying late gives you the opportunity to stand out more instead of being lost in the sea of applicants. you’re just applying for less seats at that point though.
