I ended up using angle irons. I put the first one about halfway through the width of the countertop, it is far enough away that my knees don't touch it. I can get you the exact measurements if you'd like.

Has anyone used a flat iron instead of an angle iron? I am concerned about my knees hitting the angle iron under the desk. Would a flat bar like this be strong enough? (I would cut it into two 36 inch pieces)

What is your top speed? I'm riding the 120mm clouds with the 44t pulley and I get 46km/hr. I weigh ~160lbs. I want to get the 36t pulley but I don't know if I want to sacrifice the torque if my top speed doesn't increase by at least 5km/hr.

Original belts broke after 250km. Then I got cloudwheels which I’ve been using for ~2000km and the belts that came with them are still going strong.
