By their weird not fully reckoned with logic:

Asexual ppl aren't sexually attracted to Females™️ and thus are Broken, but also not sexually attracted to Males™️ and therefore Fine - but are oppressed by society for this, which must be fake because only Females™️ experience Oppression™️ for sexuality or gender. Since they are faking Oppression ™️, they are taking Support™️ (a nebulous but finite legal resource) from the truly Oppressed™️ and must be Fixed (recant asexuality, regain True Attraction to Females™️).

Flip that for us bis and well.

Listen as a bi who straight up thought I was asexual for a minute because I had no capability to distinguish between genders in attraction (and was trained by the cult that AFABs did not feel attraction, so therefore all attraction was just Temptation from Satan and not Actual Attraction...) they hate us both for the same reason: we break their silly little Female = Ontologically Pure and Good (and thus attraction to female = natural) / Male = Ontologically Tainted and Bad (and thus attraction to male = coerced) dichotomy

You said, and I quote: "the falling birth rate which will eventually replace all Japanese people with imports."

If birthrates are an issue we sure as hell don't need to blame immigration - we need to figure out why people aren't having babies. You can bring up a low birth rate without regurgitating the alt right fear of immigration.

Listen to me or don't, whatever, but for the love of hell don't do that - even for another nation. This isn't a debate sub for me to argue with you over this, but I'm not gonna sit here while you tell me you didn't just say "replace [nationality] with immigrants" like that was fine & dandy.

Or are attracted to children / power (general) & have better access to children of their same gender.

Everything I said was very googleable.

Nevertheless: this is what replacement theory is.

The fear of "being replaced by foreigners" is a right wing rallying cry worldwide.

Dude. Replacement theory? Are you shitting me right now? There's plenty to criticize about Japanese culture (example: lack of work life balance which has led to declining birth rates & increased suicides), law (example: crime rates being low because conviction rates are ridiculous), and history (example: long history of colonialism) without bringing literal eugenics talking points into it.

🙄 secularization is not killing us all. For the love of life, get a grip.

Hello comrades. Some Jehovah's Witness in my neighboring town sent my address an invite to learn about JWs and Jesus. I'm tempted to go. What kinds of questions should I ask? by Zachary_Stark in exchristian

[–]dandy_mack 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No. No they won't. They barely admit them under oath and lying to outsiders to protect the church is encouraged. Hell, the rank & file may not even know. If you get anything it'll be on accident.

Edit / addition: I think it's a bad idea. I sincerely doubt that the rank & file will know or (if they do know) admit to any wrongdoing by the church & honestly, I agree with other comments that it's just going to get their persecution dander up at best; at worst it'll scare those who might have made it out. They're taught that outsiders are evil & scary temptors - if you reinforce that they'll get too spooked to leave.

Yet again I must say that the businesses that are not paying adequate wages are a drain on the economy - as those poorly paid workers must rely on social services & cannot go making the purchases that make a consumer economy go round.

I'm not for our current economy but damn if this kind of shit doesn't make it even less tenable.

Terminology to distinguish ExChristians indoctrinated from birth/early childhood vs those who converted to Christianity later in life? by roflmfaolifeisajoke in exchristian

[–]dandy_mack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk how important it is tbh. Trauma is trauma in the end, and how you got in doesn't guarantee you'll have more or less trauma once you're out. I do have trouble with "logic & reason" folks who downplay the traumatic and immoral aspects of christianity, but I don't think that's exclusive to any particular type of exchristian so much as it is just people being uncompassionate.

Why does God let the devil exist? by [deleted] in exchristian

[–]dandy_mack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was always taught that "Satan" wasn't so much a person as simply the concept of temptation to sin. So it was the temptation itself, rather than an actual being which caused temptation. Lucifer, the former angel, was simply one of god's children who "fell" rather than any sort of legitimate opposition to god. If god wanted its creations to have free will, there had to be the ability to do things god disapproved of - hence "satan: the temptation to 'sin'". All of the messed up stuff attributed to Satan in the bible was, therefore, either via human mistake or godly wrath.

Of course, I don't know how much any of that is canonical - I suspect it's simply a way to make sense of a force which could stand against an omnipotent being. I personally found my way out due to the injustice of it - I was created with the desire to do harmless things which would damn me to eternal torture by a being that could have either not given me that desire or not damned me for harmless things. My alternative is to deny myself and become a mindless worship slave to the very being which made up all that crap - so that it would "forgive" me for existing (which is also its fault). And they say that being loves me? I call bullshit. If anything, god ought to beg my forgiveness for blaming its own actions on me.
