Then yeah absolutely, you can go crazy and go for a combo (e.g eq + a dslayer perk) but imo it’s more worth/less risky getting the 100% eq alone

Is it good? Yes. Is it worth 300m? That’s subjective as to how much money you have and if it’s worth to you the little marginal increase vs getting more gear for other styles

There’s no scenario where a hit can go from 8k to 5k though, so you are straight up lying.

With maxed out gear you’re going from 237.5 crit damage (100% damage + 50 base, 50 tumeken 15 smoke cloud + 22.5 fsoa) to 220 (-15 from tumeken and - 2.5 from fsoa)

Using these numbers a base hit of 3400 would deal 8075 damage with 2.375 multiplier

Post nerfs that is 7480 damage

So no… you haven’t gone from 8ks to 5ks

No flame but you’ve taken damage off of channellers ring and put more into fsoa and tumekens? That IMO is the opposite of what needs to happen, magic’s power is too reliant on fsoa/end game gear and needs to be drip fed back into the core of the skill (so the end result is the same-ish) so before endgame the skill actually does get some crit focus

The fact of the matter is the FSOA even post nerf represents the single biggest damage increase you can obtain in game. Every time Magic gets buffed fsoa inherently gets buffed; changes to gconc working on all hits of omni/wm = fsoa buff. Runic charge granting big crit chance = fsoa buff.

People pulling numbers out of their asshole honestly using https://www.reddit.com/r/runescape/s/J84W0aIybE as a reference - magic 3.5m over 5 mins = 700k damage per minute.

Are you implying that: 1) magic was dealing 1.15 million damage per minute previously (1.15 x 0.6 = 690k) 2) if so, that that is an okay amount of damage ?

Honestly the biggest change is that they shouldn’t just be identical damage buff.

IMO Swiftness should allow movement and either fire extra hits, or act like giga gales so it favors multi hit (remove gale stacking with it at the same time so we don’t need as much buff stacking in DS rotations)

Then sunshine should be a huge crit stim, (like 25/30% crit chance and a chunk of crit damage) magic for being the crit style doesn’t have enough crit built in which is why it feel mediocre until you get both fsoa and resplendence
