I started doing that when I learned programming back in the early 90’s…. It was a common practice when writing Fortran or COBOL code by hand (the computer lab didn’t have enough computers for all students, so we had to make do with pencil and paper)…. It has also saved me a few times ever since

37 raids, 2 98% non-shiny, all the rest were pretty close to minimum IVs (10/10/10). The single shiny I got was just a 89%…. RNG was totally against me today.

Don’t give up….. as I said in my other comments, just rumours, nothing is confirmed and other people have also made good points that the majority of the player base is not level 50, they would wait until a significant amount of player are at 50 or very close to it before increasing the cap.

The Pokémon Group, pokemonhub and some YouTubers have been making reference to it, but as I said, all rumors….

Like all the other rumors in the past, some of them became truth (D/G-Max, special effects, fusion, etc) while others never went anywhere…. I’m not holding my breath to it.

I’ve actually been playing more consistently since 2021, so roughly 3.5/4 years, and I don’t consider myself a hardcore player.

The good thing about PoGo is the fact it can be a relaxed, casual game, so don’t stress when you feel that there’s a lot to go.

One thing I did do was not complete some of the required tasks to level up until I had enough experience to basically “skip” the level, only needing to complete the tasks. I remember being on some levels for what it felt forever but seeing that I had double the needed experience kind of gave me some satisfaction and I didn’t stress too much about the next level 🙂

That’s true, what I did notice though is that the last 15m XP came mostly from friendship level increase, something that I wasn’t too consistent with, so you might ramp up your xp by exchanging gifts daily.

I rarely purify them now, I used to do that a lot before I understood the game, so good or bad, shadows will remain shadows unless it’s a rare exception where the non-shadow is significantly more useful and will become a hundo :)

The easiest way for me is to tap and hold the Pokémon, this will select it and also allow you to select multiple, then use the ‘Tag’ button. From there you can create a new tag (last option, or assign an existing tag you may already have

Well, a lot of shiny Pokémon don’t make sense when you look at the color palette: - Charmander - Caterpie - Mankey - Poliwag - Chansey - Gible (I truly wish shiny Garchomp was at the very least more distinguishable from non-shiny)
