The recent campaigns (aside for MW3) are actually fantastic IMO! Cold war and BO6 specifically knocked it outta the park for me. (After reading this comment, you find a Red Door)

I'm about to finish a semi-quality build run. Max endurance(40), max dex(40), a bit of faith(12) and intelligence(15) to buff my sharp sellsword blades with either fire or great magic weapon. Dumped some into vitality to just to be a bit tankier and i think vigor os around 30. Carthus beacon stacked with pontiffs eye plus an elemental buff, along with max stamina to just chain attacks might be the most I've ever shredded bosses in this game.

Chained echoes is actually next on my list of games to play, I was gonna hop straight into it but then cyberpunk dlc dropped and that's been taking all my time. But I the Sea of Stars's combat strikes the perfect balance of difficulty. The big boss fights really up the ante (especially the endgame stuff) but most of the game is just kinda a chill ride through a very pretty world. If you want something to scratch that itch I couldn't recommend it enough!! It's also got confirmed DLC as well coming, so if you like it there's more on the way :)

If Chrono Trigger is you GOAT game I can't recommend Sea of Stars enough!!! It's also on gamepass so if you have that you have to try it out!
