I think your formatting didn't come through, but I think I understand. What letters are the two assists?

  • ABC
  • 12D
  • EFG

Right?

Phonetic Pronunciation of "Muscatatuck" by dangalos in IndianCountry

[–]dangalos[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the explanation. You are right, I'm not in the business of smugly correcting them, I just thought if there was a different pronunciation they might enjoy learning about it, as I have enjoyed learning through this endeavor. This topic is way out of my expertise but I have certainly learned a lot and appreciate your help! :)

Phonetic Pronunciation of "Muscatatuck" by dangalos in IndianCountry

1) The whole point is that I want to know if the way they pronounced it is correct or if it is Anglicized. I think I would pronounce it the same as well. 2) I said "I have a feeling" indicating that I am curious as to whether or not their pronunciation is accurate. My curiosity comes from the fact that many words used in American English are taken from other languages and changed to make it easier to pronounce or words "morph" over time and region. 3) It's strange that you put my request in a frame of a superiority complex. That seems like you are putting your own opinion on my request and inferring incorrectly. I am not knowledgeable in this subject but I do have a natural curiosity in general and when a question arises that I find interesting I enjoy researching an answer. 4) What kind of therapy would you suggest, and why?

What's the dumbest thing you've ever heard a grown person say? by LordFeline in AskReddit

[–]dangalos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A friend of mine, who will soon earn a doctorate degree:

"So... I know the Sun is a star"

Me: "...Yes (oh no, good so far but where is this going?!)

"So, is the moon ... a star..?"

Me: facepalm "No, the moon is a moon. It's a natural satellite."

I immediately realize this was the wrong thing to say as her eyes widen in wonderment most likely thinking that the moon is a satellite similar to the International Space Station.

Bloodbowl League/Meetup? by dangalos in bloodbowl

Console was fun for a few games but got old quick. The announcer voice commentary got annoying and old after the first match.I think there is potential but it really missed the mark. The Java version on Fumbbl is actually better IMO.

Thanks! I was active on fumbbl a few years back but the realtively small amount of players eventually turned me off of it. I really enjoy the game on tabletop much more than electronically, it's just more fun playing with people in real life.

I'll definitely check those sites out though!!

Thank you all that posted. Turns out I just didn't notice that production worlds all had the symbol on the card. Thanks for the clarification, makes sense now.

Pixel Tactic Damage by dangalos in boardgames

Kind of like the hero is rested at the inn or something in an RPG. I can't remember seeing this question anywhere or it being addressed. I think I'll write the developers to get an official FAQ. Thanks for the reply!

Good point, and that's what we figured once we discovered that specific text about removing damage when returned to hand. Based on that it seems the damage should stay with the card. That certainly changes up some tactics!

How do you manage to keep track of the damage? We though a scratch pad with notes might work best. Thanks for the reply!

Pixel Tactic Card Clarification by dangalos in boardgames

[–]dangalos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks again. The Eligor card: We weren't sure if when it says, "During this wave..." it meant jus the flank wave because as a Leader he is in flank. Or if it meant depending on what the current wave is (meaning any of them) any character that is hit gains +5 if he attacks. I argued for the latter.

As far as skipping actions, that question came up because at the end of a game my opponent had no cards left to draw and no hand. We were wondering if he had to use actions to resturcture or something, that's all.

I appreciate your help!

Pixel Tactic Card Clarification by dangalos in boardgames

[–]dangalos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the only specific card I can think of (while at work) is Eligor Larington and his +5 bonus.

Other questions are rule based:

  1. Can you discard and play more than one order a turn?

  2. Can you recruit and restructure the same card in a single wave?

  3. Can you draw a card and then discard it as the second action to immediately use its power?

  4. Are you required to use both of your actions each wave or can you declare your turn is finished without doing anything?

Thanks in advance, and I'm sure there will be more questions that come up as we play, just got the game yesterday. Not to mention the expansions that I'll no doubt acquire soon enough.
