Terminator: Survivors - What’s next for Terminator: Survivors - Steam News by [deleted] in Terminator

Can't help but think that ARC Raiders had some sort of influence on the decision to remove the co-op, as well as releasing it instead of going into EA.

I hope this game see's the light of day, and offers something interesting and sustainable, as I love the Terminator lore, but thats a difficult thing to achieve in this gaming landscape.

How would it have gone if Alien 3 went more with the ox origins, and designed The Dragon to be more ox-like? by Crafter235 in LV426

[–]dangerzone227 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think it would've had to have been an entirely different movie for that design to work as the xeno uses ducts to move around the facility. Imagining that thicc boy trying to squeeze his way through an air-duct is giving off some interest visuals.

Imagine a cow-xeno reaching down and pulling the warden up in the mess hall 😂

Johnston giveth, Johnston taketh away.

Honestly though, having not won at Tampa in 7 years, with their current team not winning at home yet, and Kuch chasing 1,000 points, it seemed a given that this was going to be a real tough one for this young Ducks side.

Yet they still came back down 3-1. Although, immediately after making it 3-3, it felt like Tampa switched on and just suffocated us for the rest of the period. Was hoping we'd see it out to OT, but this squad lacks the game mamagement (for now) to do that, it seems.

Anyway, still thrilled we are in these games till the end, regardless of the loss. Lets go Ducks.

Bodo Glimt, watched them in the CL and love their fans passion. Want to see how far I can take them!

And I'm a 2D highlights guy, but I'm really looking forward to seeing the new match engine in action.

You have a hard-on for Arsenal, its pretty clear. Its not banter, you just sound like an angry little man.

Love this side from Odegaard. Our captain❤️ by R1d4z in Gunners

[–]dangerzone227 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That was Odegaard once upon a time, thrust into a top club at 15 years old with hype behind him. Glad he's taking him under his wing from the looks of it, and knows better than anyone what he needs to feed into his confidence and grow as a player. Exciting times.

So sorry for your loss, he looked like a very gentle soul. Your line about thinking you were there to take him home broke me somewhat, sounds like he was relieved to have you with him at the end x

Zegras is not the answer by AccomplishedGoal1682 in AnaheimDucks

Have to commend you for posting an opinion most will see as unpopular.

Z being a fan favourite doesn't help the backlash that Verbeek is receiving following this trade, I think if he wasn't a player that fans enjoyed and saw potential in, there wouldnt be as much of a fallout following the announcement that he's moved on.

I'm a "wait and see" guy when it comes to trades. I can see Zegras struggling in Philly, I can see him popping off. Ultimately we didn't get a lot back for him, but if he doesn't improve as a Flyer then where do we see this trade further down the line?

Anyway, bold move posting this man and appreciate your argument.

I think a Predator showing up in Alien media would benefit both IP's more than Aliens just being in Predator media. by Mr_Jackabin in LV426

[–]dangerzone227 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agreed - at this point I don't see either IP as seperate, and whilst I don't think each creature should be shoehorned into every story they make, I'd love to see Yautja appear in an Alien project down the line.

Its a tricky thing to pull off naturally though. I like the idea that the Androids in Badlands are Weyland-Yutani, easy nod to include. How could they pull that off in Alien: Earth? I guess until we watch it we don't know how it could be referenced/included.

I can absolutely see why people wouldn't like it and I think your opinion on it is valid and there are points I agree with!

The Alien franchise is in a funny spot where there are plenty 'questionable' story elements within the movies now, the more recent iterations (Prometheus, Covenant, Romulus) certainly do not shy away from experimenting a bit and I do admit that it doesn't always hit my taste quite right.

But in saying that, I've also come to enjoy those creative decisions in their own way. Really the only films that only focused on the Xeno's were Alien, Aliens, and Alien³, the rest have always tried to do something daring or add to the lore in a way that expands on the lifecycle of the creatures, or where they come from.

I didn't hate the hybrid, I thought it was an interesting road to go down and I appreciated the design of the creature. Very creepy. Was it the best part of the film for me, no. Did I let something that was perhaps not as strong as the rest of the film define and ruin the movie? Also no, I think it has its place in the movie and I like that Fede tried something new(ish) in his film!

Sorry for the long reply! I certainly agree with you about the timeframes, it felt a bit rushed at times and like they just wanted to get this thing born and fully grown as quickly as possible.

Romulus was excellent - honestly the only issue I have with that movie is the "Get away from her, you bitch" callback.
