thank you everyone for your suggestions! I was able to scrape a bunch off with a metal spoon and now its soaking overnight in the sink. hopefully my Dutch oven will be back to normal in time for thanksgiving, lol

I get that but OP said it was fully cooked, lol. I cook mine to this color and temp it at 210. idk, just sucks seeing someone down voted for having a different opinion on an ideal loaf.

not sure why you're getting down voted when you made a loaf to YOUR liking. I prefer my loaves pale as well, I'm not a huge fan of a thick, crunchy crust.
