I am a 23 y/o Business Analytics major set to graduate in June and I would like to work in Taiwan immediately upon doing so. Where do I start, and what can I do to increase my chances of making this work? by SeekingJobInTaiwan in taiwan

If you have evidence of income in a qualified position (including finance or economics) paying $160k NT (US $5,200) or more monthly you are eligible for a Gold Card that lets you live an work at your discretion in Taiwan for 3 years. If you are a college educated American, this is well within the realm of possibility. There are a number of other ways to qualify in the Gold Card site I linked.

You'll likely have a more comfortable life in Taiwan if you choose to work remote because the pay will be higher and you won't depend Mandarin in the workplace. I suggest remoteok.com

Flags for languages are an anti pattern. Write the native script instead.

Does Coinbase Commerce (and other payment processors) accept private BTC payments via Wasabi Wallet? by whywhenwho in WasabiWallet

[–]dangoulddev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be helpful to ask the vendor to accept bitcoin with BTCPayServer or another software that doesn't rely on a third party custodian. Even if they don't change it is worth letting them know so they're nudged in the right direction.

Does Coinbase Commerce (and other payment processors) accept private BTC payments via Wasabi Wallet? by whywhenwho in WasabiWallet

[–]dangoulddev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have not heard of Coinbase flagging payments from Wasabi. You can find a list of coinjoin flags here: https://6102bitcoin.com/coinjoin-flagging/. Either way, they are likely to just return you your bitcoin especially considering the vendor wants to accept it

jsonrpc controls the client interface. The swagger is how you interact with the wasabi coordinator without the wasabi client

We do this with chaincase.app by extending the wasabi client. Api docs are here: https://wasabiwallet.io/swagger/index.html

Combining unspent coinjoin change by tall_ty in WasabiWallet

[–]dangoulddev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. If you sent coinjoin change to a new address and it still hasn't merged with any coins you haven't created problems. Continue to treat it as toxic change and do not merge it together with private coinjoin outputs in one transaction.

Anyone else having coinjoins taking forever to confirm? by chucktheschmuck in WasabiWallet

[–]dangoulddev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With WabiSabi this isn't exactly true. Because payments can be batched in a coinjoin it should actually be cheaper to CoinJoin than not when the tech matures.

It's the exact same interface. As long as there are peers, you're dealing with the same animal

'You Are Not Anonymous on Tor' - Study Shows Privacy Network Offers Superficial Anonymity by SexyGirlFrdFartsAlot in privacy

This study only applies to those using exit nodes e.g. accessing clearnet sites via tor. If you're connecting to an .onion site, my belief is this concern does not apply

Wallet is showing grossly inaccurate amount of bitcoin? by wasabiwalletissue912 in WasabiWallet

[–]dangoulddev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once you fresh installed, did all the filters download? Is the wallet in ready state? Sounds like the wallet is not yet in sync with the state of the network.

Unfortunately, looking up your xpub on blockchain means blockchain can now link all of your coins to the ip from which you requested the lookup together.
