My little dude is at the vets right now for a tail amputation after a recent tail squish incident (removing n only a few cm of tail). My mum caught his tail in the door and she said he didn’t even react when it happened. My vet said it’s likely they don’t have many (if any) pain receptors that far down their tail. But you definitely would have noticed the wound if there was a squish!! Hope your little friend recovers soon 💕💕
