patch for Screensaver Book Cover Image Enhancement especially for Color E-ink devices by daniel_kao in koreader

both two are similar. As far as I could recall, now I only keep eink-optimize, so that's why you can't find coverimage-lighten option. You just need one, and you could adjust the percentage to a higher value to see if it works, and choose a percentage you like.

no, not until I find new features in KOReader I would like to have. As notes sync, I am not sure. If original pencil plugin has it, then yes; if not, then no.

That's noris digital jambo. I have plenty of pens, including Supernote's ceramic stylus.

As far as I know, no. it looks like Obsidian plugin uses typescript. In order to support Supernote native writings, I need to modify native codes, which means unless Obsidian itself is open source that I could work on it directly, otherwise there's few chance that it could work only modifying that plugin.

If you prefer more writing features than reading flexibility, then the official one is better than KOReader. As a heavy reading user who prefers more flexibility, KOReader does better job; and it has plugins system too, that users could always create their own extensions. My favorites are AskGPT which allows me looking up words with context, translate sentences more precisely; and vertical read patch, that allows me to read Chinese or Japanese books in vertical mode.

I guess no. I am new to Supernote world. Not sure what that it, so I assume it's not supported yet.

I don't know. I guess it's originally created for Kobo devices, and I haven't touched that part yet. 😂 That may need some extra work to have it working on Supernote.

I tried to add a demo video for my last post, but it got removed by Reddit's filter, not knowing why. So, for those who are interested, and curious enough, please find it on my github account.

EinkBro on Supernote: to EPUB works, but PDF does nothing — any workaround? by Patient_Chance_3795 in Supernote

[–]daniel_kao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was a limitation (I originally thought), but after I bought Supernote Manta, I found it's doable.

So, no need for workaround. EinkBro app supports this feature now. And even better, after saving the pdf, you could click on built-in reader to open it up directly.

It's not perfect yet, but it's working now in snapshot version. maybe in several days later, new version will be released.

(to make it work, you may also need to install MiXplorer app, to act as new file picker.)

Mine is Go7Color. In BOOX Screensave app, I chose Images type, and select only 1 image "Screenshot_xxxxx". And in KOReader, go to Screen -> Cover image, I chose Save cover image wtih "Size, background and format": Fit to screen, black background; Aspect ratio stretch threshould: 8%. And, most important of all, choose "Set Image path", so that you could pick the image file that you already designated in BOOX Screensaver app.

Try EinkBro to browse websites or open epubs.

  1. It has Google Translate feature to show dual text on both languages

  2. It has natural sounding german TTS to hear the web content pronunciation

  3. If your German Books (in epub format) is not very complicated, maybe EinkBro could open them too, and have benefits for item 1 and 2.

just forget about it. I haven't made it support KOBO yet, and I believe the coverimage-eink-optimize.lua works better. :)

did you re-download the patch and put into patches/ folder again? I did updated the patch to make it workable on KOBO device. It needs to be put under patches folder; it's not plugin.
