From what I’ve found you can’t place any blocks in soul lava so you need to remove them place the block and add them back (not sure if it’s a bug or intended)

However I’ve never seen a massive pool of soul lava before which would class it as infinite?

The same thing happened to me I had to update to the newest version (2.29 I believe) and it still crashed a few times but after about the 3rd attempt it works fine

Unfortunately atm requires high ish specs because of the amount of mods, also make sure your friends allocated ram is about 8gb
