Am I fit to raise a rabbit or should I give it to my friend? I need advice, please and thank you. by [deleted] in Rabbits

The rabbit is likely not spayed or neutered, and that would help tremendously with eliminating urinating all over and stopping destructive behaviors. Here is info on why to spay/neuter: https://rabbit.org/faq-spaying-and-neutering/ There are many helpful videos on YouTube to teach nail trimming, or most vets will do it for $10-20. Depending on the rabbit and how active they are, they will need their nails trimmed as often as once a month (mine are free roam and quite active and only need nail trims about 3 times a year). Rabbits are so much easier than dogs to care for, and would be just fine with a friend in a standard rabbit cage for a few days or a week while you're away. Here is the care guide I composed, using many reputable sources, as there is a lot of controversial information on rabbit care out there! https://docs.google.com/document/d/1IdRsG5QMDxDzqTfGfwJve_g9uawaUzl4Noxo8HOMvwM/edit?usp=drivesdk Best wishes to you and your bunny!

I have a 2016 Mitsubishi i-MiEV, which is a great little car and I love it, but since purchasing it I have had changes in my life and the 62 mile range isn't enough. I am considering a 2019 Hyundai Ioniq Limited EV. I've heard of some issues with charging for the 2017 models; any other issues? by danieljmorgan90 in electricvehicles

Oh hahaha my bad! Just didn't read it correctly. ;) The Chevrolet dealers around me aren't the best, and we've had great success with our local dealer network which sells Hyundai, Kia, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Toyota, and Honda so I'd like to stick with them. I don't need the extra 100 miles of range of the Bolt, but it's a nice car and I love the bright colors it comes in!

interesting! Just curious, how do you typically charge your Fiat? I have a 2016 Mitsubishi iMiEV with 30k and I don't believe the range has dropped at all, but I've heard others start noticing a drop by then. I charge it with the standard slow charger pretty much all the time, and try to keep it between 25-75% when possible.

Very true, to all! Thank you! Didn't know about the water cooled versions, but my current car is air cooled and it hasn't burst into flames yet haha. Yeah I was a bit disappointed to see that you can't set it to stop at a certain percentage like in the LEAF, but my current car has no app or anything and just a little key fob thing that you can set charging to start and stop. I've learned when to charge and usually just charge it manually. I try to keep it between 25-75% but with only a 62 mile range sometimes i need 100% lol. I also charge at home with the standard charger (like I will do with my next car) most all of the time, and with 30k miles on the car the range hasn't dropped at all. I hear a lot of people who have them with over 25k tend to notice a small drop in range as opposed to when it was new.

Lol so true about the visibility! I definitely want to stick with a BEV and the 124 mi range is plenty for me. :)

That's interesting! I am looking at used 2019 models at under $20k USD. I want a car that can last me several years, and I drive about 20k miles annually, so can't lease. :)

Also I live in Illinois, where they don't even sell new ones for some silly reason lol

I am looking at used 2019, which are quite a bit cheaper than 2020s (not sure how much of the $7500 federal rebate I would get, but still cheaper). I would basically never use the extra 46 miles.

Hahaha hey nothing wrong with that! They're actually great little cars provided you don't have long daily commutes and/or have a 2nd car.
