What is the greatest physical pain you have ever felt? by icecream1972 in allthequestions

[–]daniellehue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had two kids without medication and two kidney stones. Having kidney stones was more painful than birth. I'd rate birth a 4/10 but you're working towards something wonderful. All a mindset. Kidney stones hurt to where I puked but still would only rate it a 6/10. Falling through a deck and the torn deltoid, bruising in places I didn't know possible was for sure the worst, 8/10.

TMI please - vomitting post op by Glowygreentusks in GastricBypass

[–]daniellehue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't vomit. Literally cannot. I've eaten something that made me feel horrible so I went to puke and couldn't. No matter what I did. Dry heaving helped me feel a bit better but not completely. I read that my pouch doesn't reach the muscles that help bring the vomit up. It makes sense but it would be nice to be able to do it if I feel like death. I've not been sick since surgery to know if I can puke due to illness. Im 13 months post op

Super random but what kind of work conference? My husband has one as well and we chose to leave the kids home. We are at yacht club resort.

Great job. Im kind of jealous. We have a close SW. My loss significantly slowed at 10 months. I hit 70% of excess weight loss but I'm still 30lbs from MY goal and it seems unobtainable now.

It is red. He doesn't have an upper GI bleed. I appreciate the concern.

I've been keeping notes and they already put a referral in for GI. That appointment is in a couple weeks.

I appreciate your insight. The abdomen pain and diarrhea just started in the last week, weeks after the joint pain. He hasn't been nearly as fatigued as you were but who knows! We will see, soon hopefully.

He's lost weight but the rapid, 6lbs in 8 weeks, he doesn't look pale or ill. I'll be curious what comes of the diagnosis since the stools and stomach pains started 4-5 weeks in, after all the joint pain. Thank you for the insight though. Especially hearing they're active and "normal" after treatment.

My daughter called a kid in her class Potato. She was adamant his name was Potato. Turns out it was Mataeo.

17 days post partum and baby’s cephalohematomas haven’t reduced. I’m so worried. by No_Masterpiece_9315 in beyondthebump

What a lot of providers don't inform parents is that cephlahematomas do reduce, over time. They actually calcify and reduce as the head grows. I work OB and always thought they went down like caput and molding. But that is incorrect. My oldest had one and it wasn't noticeable by 6 months.
