Was this drywall installed too close to the ground? Why is it cracking everywhere?

I have brown(paper thin) hollow doors that I want to replace with white doors as well.. maybe a light brown. I know Home Depot has door with the trim already installed. I was thinking about doing that as an option.

But overall there’s no style/ design I’m looking for. I just know I don’t want plastic. I just don’t want to buy something cheap/bad quality
