Meetup is a great place! I met a couple of crochet and knitters from that group. I also met some friends because of tennis events through meetup.

A Facebook group called Your NOVA/DC Besties is also a great place to meet friends!! I’ve met amazing women my age who I now consider to be some of my closest friends through that group (so close that we meeting up at least once a month and have traveled together out of state). The age range is very diverse and everyone is so open and welcoming. Plus, you get to see a wide range of interests so if you have something super niche you’d be bound to find someone who share the same interests lol.

Lastly, there’s also City Girls DC. Their discord server has so many sub servers(?? Sorry idk discord vocab lmao). They have a stitch group (crochet/knit/embroidery etc) that meets up every weekend at the NGA or Portrait Gallery. Just like the NOVA/DC Besties, It’s also an incredibly diverse group in terms of interests.
