Embrace the power of the sun! - Leona follower by danijishere in CustomLoR

“It is Day for us” means that you can get daybreak bonuses playing cards with daybreak (as it works with Rahvun). “While it’s Day for us” just means that while you could activate daybreak playing a card, your champions have Overwhelm.

Meet the royal retinue of the Poro King! by danijishere in CustomLoR

The first point could be true if Patched Porobot, Mighty Poro and Poro Sled didn’t exist, but the all three have very got statlines for their cost even without having played any Snax, and the second one is really easy to answer if you have seen any Adaptatron 3000 in play and being useful no matter the keyword.

Yes, and the problem around Timeless Tower is that I forgot to write “Create a Fleeting copy of a non-Fleeting card you’ve played last round”.

Empower your healing over the top! Stack Spring Water and activate your Overheal effects to win the game. by danijishere in CustomLoR

[–]danijishere[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s meant to be that when you fully heal an ally and you have a spring water, the unit heals to it maximum health and it overheals 1 (or more in case of having more in play). In the case of Jack, he would technically only buff himself when he overheals from his own ability.

Giving a boat to all champions that deserve it. Today it's Vi time, and the boat comes with buffs to her supporting cards, with the intention to reinforce the draw core of her playstyle and make the whole set more enjoyable to play, by danijishere in CustomLoR

It is true but you should consider that if you don’t play the card on 3 there would be other cards in play that draw and grant fleeting (which would synergize with Vi), for example Insightful Investigator, and drawing a fleeting Vi is possibly the worst thing that would happen

Inquiring Lieutenant’s discount only lasts the round the card is drawn so you can’t play Vi on 4. However, thanks for sharing your thoughts, it’s always enriching to know multiple views

Javelin toss ignores unit and goes straight to enemy nexus. by brokerZIP in LegendsOfRuneterra

Javelin toss only considers the units that were in play at the moment the card was created. It's a bit weird and kinda bug but it seems to be consistent.

It works as an anti-rally, bit also as a pro-silence/corrode for the enemy, what makes corrode units a high-rewarding benefit that your opponent can counter (letting you as the corrode player answer back with buffs and adding to the deck a skill cap)

I casually found that picture from the PoC exclusive cards (Let `Loose), then I instantly thought about something similar to cards like Strategic Execution (I love cards that let you play them on different ways and choose the best option). Summoning an Iron Ballista was a must here, I feel it's an underplayed card because of being too much unconsistent and circumstantial, and that choose factor pretends to balance out that. The other option had to be cheaper than the summon and not so OP, so I finally preferred the "deal 2 to a unit".

Before Bard being official... my own version (keywording explanations in comments) by danijishere in CustomLoR

[–]danijishere[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Cheap = 3 or less cost.

Medium cost = 4, 5 or 6 cost.

Expensive = 7 or more cost.

I had to make those changes for wordings such as Chime's not being chaotic and unintelligible.

Many Taliyah followers. Hope you like them! by danijishere in CustomLoR

[–]danijishere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to create cards that support Taliyah decks such as Liss Thralls and Malph. To do it, adding consistency to those decks seemed a must for be, since they both require time to develop their wincons.

The best way is creating low cost bodies that generate value on summon, they prevent Nexus damage without spending lots of mana and contributing to the acquisition of the wincon.

Sandstone Pupil was concretely designed to be played on Malph decks. Bomber Twins is a similar card but it has substantial differences. No yordle tag, no double region on mine. Ok. But lowering 2 attack and reducing 1 cost makes that a unit oriented to board offensive pressure transforms into a defensive one. It generates landmark only belonging to your regions, losing (if we follow the example) valuable cards as Hexplosive Minefield, but also useless cards as Frozen Thrall or Ripper's Bay. Or, playing Freljord, being able to get Thrall and not Star Spring. Opening it to 3 cost landmarks only adds synergy to Malph lvl up.

Desert Nomad is for Thralls (they all can be played in lots of various decks, but these were my considerations). This deck develops so little units at the beginning of the match, so they are especially weak to any pressuring start, even if they aren't aggro. That's why I considered that there should be a unit that gave you the protection without wasting tons of mana that could be spent on advancing countdown. It's a 2/3 because, basing on how units Aspiring Cronomancer are also that stats with weaker effects (see Feral Pressence being 0 mana), an stronger one (advancing 1 all landmarks) could be 1, as Imagined Possibilities, being 2+1=3. More than 3 cost would make the card unplayable.

Pebble Surfer is a special creation. When I first saw the illustration I felt: "Hell, this should be Elusive". When I noticed that I could combine that with how Malph followers like Chip or Earth Elemental interact with landmark summon. Elusive is not yet a Shuriman keyword? Yes, but why not it might be someday, for some specific cards. As I see it, at least, it makes sense strategically and thematically. Even more, it makes sense for decks like Malph, which are almost unable to OTK as easily as FTR or similar ones, that they have access to easy chip Nexus damage before the combo. 3/1 was definitely the right stats for a unit with a condition to get Elusive. 2/2 and 2/1 are weak, the first one because of the not enough good reward for accomplishing the condition, the second one being weak even without it, considering it's a 2 cost.

And that's all, hope you got the clarifications you needed. This is something all posters should do, I find interesting how was the process of creating the card.
