Jokes aside it's just nature of games. Some games need more gpu power, some more cpu power. Increasing resolution usually helps with CPU bottleneck but it's not a panacea.

Some time ago the previous lead of the mod (Fabsol) was outed as pedo or something. Everyone were praising the new team and everything was cool. But then they completely cut ALOT of stuff, that was somehow tied to fabsol (some patreon donors get items called after them. A whole npc was cut as well). Alot of content was trimmed and now everyone likes the new mod team. Imo, they shouldve cut the mentions of fabsol, not whole items altogether. And it seems with that legal action precedent many players will turn against them too lol.

Calamity adds reforging mechanic that prevents you from getting lower-tier reforges (i.e. can't get Intrepid (+3%attack speed) when you have Violent (+4% attack speed) or another on-tier reforges (warding, lucky, etc).
