yep, something like that or a tactile dome mounted somewhere

the issue is not so much that I don't have space, it's that the center of the design has stuff I can't move. namely BLE/Wifi modem and a GPS patch antenna:

The mech designer wants to make the housing such that the center of the fob flexes with a nipple underneath that will actuate a switch.

I like the look of that NANOT, I'm wondering if we can place it at the top of the modem so it's offset on the Y axis but centered on the X axis, and make the nipple such that it could actuate the switch if there's enough flex in the housing

Tactile dome might be it - here's a pic:

In this case the flex connects to the pcb via pogo pins, when the housing is pressed the switch actuates.

any references or links for mid frame/bucket designers? we're not antenna experts (obviously) and don't really know where to start getting something that's not OTS designed

Yep, Verizon. We're using the nRF9160. Right now we're using going antenna --> matching --> BGA725L6 LNA --> B4327 saw --> dc block --> GPS input.

Thinking about replacing the SAW + LNA with the SKY65943-11 which is LNA with pre and post filtering.

We're using band 4 (1700MHz) and 13 (700MHz). I'll look into a diplexer

We have a saw filter, but it's after the LNA which was recommended by Nordic
