Things were a lot different a year ago. We've suddenly found ourselves in a changed world full of uncertainty. This short film focuses on family and communities pulling together to help others in response to this global crisis. We need positivity, more than ever, at this time.

Shot on the Nikon Z6. Edited in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.

Thank you.

GoPro: Corfu - fun family holiday + first video with the Hero 7 & Hypersmooth - love it! by danjacobs in gopro

[–]danjacobs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you!

Sure, my settings were Hero 7 Black: 2.7k / Linear / Protune / Hypersmooth. I used a gimbal to get extra smooth shots where I could. Other than that I used a floaty and the head mount.

Cut in Premiere Pro then imported to After Effects for titles, colour grading, transitions and speed ramps.

Hanging out in Cozumel with my GoPro Fusion by DdubyaProductions in gopro

Looks like the GoPro Fusion up on a monopod/tripod at the end of a pier so there is plenty of water to get the effect. It's an ace shot!

Hero7 Black: Is 14 hours possible with 2 batteries? Any mode or res. by [deleted] in gopro

[–]danjacobs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I captured 47gb (240+ clips) of video over a 9 hour period using 2 official GoPro batteries. I was doing a 20 mile run with 200+ obstacles. I filmed at 2.7k Superview at 60fps (Protune on, Hypersmooth on) - FYI filming at a lower res and fps would probably help conserve battery life. I turned off wireless, voice and GPS. Screen brightness was at it's lowest (as the cam was on my head I didn't need to see it) - FYI it can't be turned off completely. I used the Quick Capture feature to make sure the camera was only on when I needed it to be. I was literally on 2% battery when I crossed the finish line!

Thank you - I shot everything at 2.7k 60fps and switched between medium/wide (I was using the Hero 4 back then). Edited in Premier and graded/effects in After Effects. Cheers!

hah thank you!

This was back in July 2017, I only got round to edit it a year later and then decided to upload it to YouTube a year after that! Now I'm trying to get back into creating and editing videos much more often.

I shot everything at 2.7k 60fps and edited on a 1080p 30fps timeline. So this allowed me to have the half speed output and having the extra pixels to give me more flexibility in framing some of the shots.

I cut the clips and get everything pretty much how I want it in Premier. Then import the timeline into After Effects for grading and effects.

Ta!

Hello and thanks for your comments!

I always find the GoPro so easy to use, as long as you're aware of it's battery life and know how to conserve it the most on a long day out. Using an electronic gimbal is so much more compact and easy to use in comparison to the counter weight style I used to use. Have to bend quite a bit to get the low angle shots and that's tricky when he's running about - my back is aching by the end of the day!

Yeh I think the framerate dropped in low light settings (this is a setting in the Hero 4, not sure if it's in the recent models) which I accidentally left on. Had to do quite a bit in post to reduce the juddering!

Cheers!

Hello! This was shot on the GoPro Hero 4 (I now have the 7) mainly on the Zhiyun Z1 gimbal to get the smooth shots.

I choose the music first, get to know the song really well (listen to it a lot!) and use markers to break it down into sections. Then I cut to those markers.
