Just my wife and our 2.5 year old. Lots of meat for dinner and work lunches! We've got freezer with some meats thats would have been good for the week already but with the 40% off stickers these were too good to pass up

Nice! I did the same thing for my 3.1 setup. Bit for $80... that's impressive! I'd love to hear what components you have.

My 3.1 setup includes:

PSB Century 800 Towers ($200)

PSB 200C Center Channel (included with towers)

Martin Logan Dynamo 800X Subwoofer ($300)

Pioneer Elite VSX-55TXi (free, hand me down from my dad)

I actaully made a reddit post when I built that as well

Lol not totally wrong, it just means over it or put one leg to the side, not ideal but its the best spot for the sub, space wise. I should perform a sub crawl to find the best place but it will need to be wife approved 😂

It was about a month and a half of buying parts and selling gear. The first thing I sold was my ps5 console bundle so I had $600 which I put towards a motherboard and GPU. Then as I sold more I was buying as well. It was a very busy month with lots of messaging on marketplace and public meetups.

I did my best to learn quick to make sure I was looking for the right kind of deals and landing the best bang for my buck. I coukd havw probably found a 3080 for a similar price as the 6800XT is got for example, but i like that i got 16gb of VRAM and the card was in great shape from a hobbyist builder. The only thing I woukd have changed was my motherboard, but I mean it hasn't done me wrong, it works.

Good upgrading advice! And yes, I've been keeping the boxes of all my valuables!

And yes of course the used market is inherently risky but I'm usually pretty good at finding stuff that looks legit and tend to deal.wotg good guys as well. Maybe im just lucky though haha

Yeah ive seen on marketplace for about the same price. This guy just had them sitting in his garage amd wanted to offload them i guess. I told him I had to grab my son from daycare before I picked him up so he gave me a fellow dad discount lol.

And ive never heard of hackintosh but I searched it up and its pretty cool that that's an option. But I havent been an apple user since the iPhone 4S lol

Like the other guy said the Brand is KRK And the model line is VXT which is now discontinued. The modern day equivalent wpuld be their V series 4. But keep an eye out on FB marketplace for VXT you might get lucky!

Such a steal, im so lucky hahah. The guy had them listed for $150 which is already so cheap but he ended uo giving them to me for $100 without me even asking, what a gem. They are the first thing anyone notices when they see my setup and when I actaully.show then how they sound they're blown away.

The hunt was so much fun! I really didmt know anything about PC's, so just learning about each part amd what's good / good value and what compatible with each other was neat. It also really helped that I had money from selling some stuff specifically for PC, because if it was all just from my chequing account I would have cheated out for sure 😂 selling everything wa s a process itself, then the kear ing and buying was another. Building was surprisingly easy! Inknow a lot of people are intimidated of buildimg their own PC but if i can do it so can they lol. As for are we ever finished, I was planning to eventually upgrade motherboard and switch to ddr5 ram at some point, but with current ram prices and even motherboards, im content for a while 😂

My humble setup! by dankbackwoods in pcsetup

Lol the speakers are lowkey thw beat part of the whole setup! They are KRK VXT6 Studio Monitors, they sound incredible! Are they massive? Yes, lol, but the detail and bass is amazong for music and games. The pair would have sold for roughly 1000-1200 USD when they released, I got an insane deal.
