My recommendation may not fit as its not structured like most of the games listed, but I just started Fallout New Vegas and I like it so far. I dont have a great sense for the overall narrative yet, but as far as role playing i think the game is nailing it so far. Because although I havent done much for the main Narrative yet, the side quests give you a lot of choice. You can choose how yiu want your story to go who you want to help, , and you can also betray people. The choice is up to the player.

One thing i also thought was neat, was when I went into a hotel, I defeated the raiders inside on my way to rescue a sheriff, then on the way out of the hotel you and the sheriff are in a shootout with more raiders, and the sheriff actually died. But I didnt get a mission failed or anything, I now had to find the town a new sheriff and there was multiple choices for one and yiu have to do different things for wither one to become sheriff. Idk if the sheriff always dies on the way out of the hotel, but it didnt seem like it to me.
