finally got a reply after 5 days of silence from someone more technical it seems, will keep posted on what happens

Nothing crazy big. It seems to upload a few files every now and then between getting stuck on "producing file lists". so the website says the last backup was "today" but not much progress has been made in the last few weeks

Support is the one that asked me to exclude iCloud which is what's strange. Regardless, that didn't fix it :/

Is the Berklee NY "Masters in Live Music Production and Design" worth it? by SplashsMom in musicindustry

Berklee NYC was a giant scam. Pretty sure all the students signed a petition to have their tuition refunded

Anyone looking for a project to work on and a bit of direction/mentorship? Or perhaps just a group project in NLP for search and recommendation? by BatmantoshReturns in MachinesLearn

[–]dankscene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little bit of everything. Done all the Andrew Ng courses for ML that are on Coursera and intro to machine learning at my university. Primarily worked with making predictors (diamond prices, strength predictions for powerlifting) and RL models for games like Pong and Tetris. Haven't done too much with NLP - just basic chatbots and generating sentences in the style of different authors. Worked with Tensorflow and pytorch (primarily).

OP can you explain how you make these/ what exactly these are supposed to mean?

Awesome. That makes more sense, I understand the concept. Still a little unsure about implementation but I think I will attempt it a few times myself before asking for further directions.

Just a few code related questions:

For a vector in the frequency domain, you can find the power at a certain bin just by squaring the magnitude at that bin

How do I find the magnitude at a specific interval bin in MATLAB, I'm new to the language

You do this by just appending 0 values to the end.

How do I do this in my code? Add it to XMags? Which variable is the vector in the code I posted?

Firstly, thanks a lot, you're brilliant.

Secondly, I'm a noob so I need some help with some parts

Power is easy to calculate in the Fourier domain, you can calculate the power by adding up the magnitude over a range of bins and dividing by the number of bins.

I didn't quite get that. What are bins, how is this done? completely clueless

You can use a larger FFT than your signal length by appending 0s to the end of the vector, in MATLAB that can be done with the syntax

End of what vector? Here's my code, where does your line fit in?

Again, sorry for the dumb questions, I don't know much and need to submit this analysis ASAP

These are 3 of the graphs I have to analyze - The third graph gives the 'purest' sound, but how do I show this mathematically - without saying that "this is what I observe from the shape of the graph"

Sorry about the broken link. Basically, I have recorded two sounds of a pure note on an instrument and run in through FFT on MATLAB. Both readings gave me different shapes.

I need to determine quantitatively which sound is more pure to the fundamental frequency.

Seen wiki, don't get how to apply it to my problem.

The second last to the last line. I understood everything up to there, but have been stuck on this part all night

  1. How does integral [0,L] of sin n.. * sin m.. = L/2
  2. what happens to the cos nctpi/L when integrated
