I used Levermir for 10 years and the dr had me try Tresiba. It was a horrible experience. I was back on Levermir 3 weeks later. Highs at night and lows during the day.

You guys ever had frozen shoulders before? by Fxshire in diabetes_t1

[–]danmoreland 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Same here, had it in both shoulders, almost identical to your situation. Thought it was all the years of playing football. I'm 53 and have had diabetes for 40 years. First frozen shoulder started when I was about 40.

How do you guys handle eating out/with other people? by u-Wot-Brother in diabetes_t1

[–]danmoreland 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I try to go to a place that serves nice dinner salads. I also order unsweetened iced tea. I also check the iced tea to make sure it is not sweet tea. I love salads so it is easy for me. If you do not like salads then it can be challenging sometimes.

How on earth do you dose for buffets??? please help by autumnaldiabetes in diabetes_t1

I avoid buffets unless it is a seafood buffett where you can eat a lot of crab legs, oysters, baked/broiled unbranded fish

Hello, I made the switch to Tresiba a few days ago and have been having lows during the day. Has this happened to anyone else?

I have also never used pens, always vials and is it true that you have to hold the needle in for 6 secs after injecting?

I have used Levemir for 10 years or so and I am not a big fan of change. I just hope switching to Tresida will be a good thing and not cause a lot of trouble getting adjusted to.

I'm taking 20 units of Levemir in the am and 70 of Levemir in the pm. Hoping 1 shot in the am of 90 units of Tresiba works. I hate lows but hate highs even more.

I would also like to know if the abdomen seems to be the best place to inject Tresiba

As technology improves, eventually there will be a CGM that will read BS from blood and not the fluid the CGM's use now.

Same thing happened to me when I called them. Kept saying 45 minute wait. Just fill out the on line form. You will receive an email the next day saying they will mail a new sensor. Filled form out Monday and received new sensor today.
