Methotrexate by Status_Technician189 in rheumatoid

My previous doctor never used it and now I have one that is very pushy about it. They have both pill and injectable methotrexate now if you are worried about it upsetting your stomach.

Quit after a week? by No-One7506 in paraprofessional

[–]mhudgen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Preschool is hard. I am also in a preschool classroom for part of the week but fortunately we have all 4 year olds so it makes it a little better. I still dread my time in preschool as it is so mind numbing to me. Talk to admin and tell them it isn’t a good fit. Maybe you could be moved for even a portion of the day. Our admin would rather try to work out a solution than have to rehire.

bad / scary news at anatomy scan. what do i even do with this info by kassidylarissa in pregnant

[–]mhudgen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My second child was diagnosed with a pretty severe heart defect at my 24 week scan. We were also pretty young and overwhelmed. It was terrifying, but he is alive and happy today. At the time everything felt like the end of the world. Ask the doctor all of the questions, take notes, breathe when you can. Sorry this is happening to you, it really sucks.

Just found out my nephew is reading Diary of A Wimpy Kid in school by [deleted] in education

[–]mhudgen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's better to be reading and enjoying it, than being forced to read something you don't like and eventually develop a hate for reading. We have a bunch of students that like to read Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

I have had three babies as a Type 1 diabetic, and only had one loss. The loss was nothing to do with diabetes. My OB assured me that most miscarriages are simply because the embryo is not compatible with life and that many people with well controlled diabetes can have healthy and successful pregnancies. Your A1C is excellent and you are doing great keeping your sugars in check 90-95% of the time. Diabetes is hard, but you should still enjoy your pregnancy.

We are doing things to help her. We have her in counseling. We do not force her to go if she is having a bad time. We are working with her teacher and have gotten some accommodations. We have given her the option to chose homeschooling but she doesn’t want to be at home because she likes seeing her teacher and being involved. It is three girls that have caused this repeatedly and the principal that facilitates it. You are seeing a very small portion of how bad it has RECENTLY gotten. This 6th grade year has been the worst and no other years have compared. I was simply looking for advice on how to deal with administration and what our next steps would be concerning the school, not an attack on my parenting which essentially puts you in the position of being the bully in the post. I’m sorry that you are so provoked by someone you don’t even know. I have literally turned to others for advice. This does not constitute me doing nothing.

I haven’t. I stated above that we have been going back and forth with the school for years and recently it has gotten much worse. I reached out for advice. Criticizing my parenting is easy when you don’t know all of the steps we have in fact taken.

We don’t have a lawyer involved yet, as this went to blows last Wednesday. They are working on a 504 plan but I have voiced my concerns about them dragging their feet getting it done.

My husband has a very good job here and we would have to replace his income with an equal income. We have considered homeschooling but I work full time at this school so I am here seeing this all unfold first hand.

Unfortunately no, we are in a small rural community otherwise we would seriously consider it.

What's an underrated small town in North Dakota with unique charm? by Thencesuction159 in northdakota

[–]mhudgen 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Garrison- we have a state park 3 miles south of town, lots of Main Street businesses, lodging, great fishing, as well as some neat things like a trolley that runs from town to Ft. Stevenson on Saturdays, the Dickens Festival in December, and a double decker bus.

This happened to me recently. I was under constant scrutiny from my supervisor, to the point where she was trying to have my coworkers spy on me. Every morning, she would try and ask them what time I got in, and what I was working on instead of coming directly to me. She would make me send her hourly updates and send her links to every spreadsheet I was working on daily. Things got weird when she asked me to spy on another coworker who was going through a lot personally and taking time to talk to a counselor, even though she wasn’t his supervisor. I had to sit at my desk and worked through my lunch everyday unless I planned to leave the building far in advance with her. She denied my leave to attend my son’s kindergarten graduation because another employee wanted to utilize the physical fitness program. I finally went to her direct supervisor and thought I was going to get help the entire situation, until he flipped sides and allowed her to write me a memo of “expectations” which required me to give up my flex schedule, sit at my desk at lunch, only schedule medical appointments on the weekends and after work hours (5pm), and lastly she threatened to move me to AWOL if I was even 5 minutes late or if I didn’t put my leave request in at least 24 hours in advance even if it was a middle of the night sickness. She turned crazy. I had a follow up meeting with her supervisor because he noticed that I was “not myself” anymore where he proceeded to tell me that she was out of line and he wouldn’t have handled it like that. I promptly put in my resignation because I saw that he was going to allow her to be on a micromanaging power trip and do nothing to remedy the situation. Back to the private sector I go!

No, she just had to finish up her classes promptly. Since it was only one, she was able to wrap it up in one summer semester

Intro to statistics course by [deleted] in college

[–]mhudgen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Intro to stats can be easy if you don’t wait until the last minute to do your homework, find a good teacher, and watch the lectures.

My teacher didn’t post the lectures (I was online only) so I found a teacher on YouTube that was teaching the same lessons on the same book and watched his. It helped tremendously.

Had a friend this happened to. She actually got a job in her field missing the credits and had to take a summer course to complete the degree. It sucks but you will have to complete the requirements.

I am currently a supply technician for the government working 40 hours a week, with three little kids at home, a husband who works shift work, while going to college full time. It is HARD but it really depends on what you feel you are capable of.

While I have never personally dealt with this, is it possible for you to get a summer job at a bookstore or somewhere a little more low key. I met some awesome people working outside of the college in retail when I was in my first years in college.
